Angina pain during heart attack appears due to hyperventilation (overbreathing). Breathing more than the norm, as it is the case with all heart patients, constricts coronary arteries and reduces oxygenation of the heart muscle tissue. Most heart patients can stop heart attacks by practicing reduced breathing developed by Russian MD Konstantin Buteyko.
