Just about 30 seconds ago, my heart made a very odd flutter, and I felt like I could almost not breathe. Almost like a constricting feeling in the throat. My heart was beating very fast and flutter a lot. I’m fine now, but it was a bit scary. I’ve never had heart problems…do you think it’s something serious? Good thing I’m going to the doctor’s tomorrow lol.
found out im not going to the doctors tomorrow…lol just getting a medicare card : /

Open Question: Why am I still fat (both in my arteties and over my abdomen)?
OK, here are my lifestyle factors:
DIET:
- 10 servings veggies per day (raw greens, broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, etc. I don’t count corn or potatoes as veggies)
- 4-5 servings fruit per day (mostly berries, apples, bananas. No dried fruit)
- 5-6 servings coldwater fish per week
- minimal red meat; moderate lean white meat
- very minimal refined grains or sweets
- 1 serving per day of olive oil and/or flax seed
- Significantly less preservatives than others
- 2-3 gallons water per day
DRUGS/ALCOHOL:
- No illegal drugs ever
- Never smoked
- Very minimal second hand smoke
- Alcohol: 2-4 drinks per week
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
- Job involves walking 3-4 miles per day
- Weight lifting 3 times per week, for 90 minutes each time
- I am an avid hiker, so hiking 5-6 miles per week
- yoga 1 hour per week
- running 15 miles per week in addition to walking on the job
GENETICS:
- Grandparents all deceased (ages at death: 98, 94, 93, and 86)
- Parents ages 73 and 70, no health problems
- No diabetes or cancer in the family; very minimal weight problems
- Heart disease exists, but not before age 70
STRESS:
- Low-stress/low-pressure job; no overtime hours
- Financially stable
- Stable family and relationship life
- 8 hours of sleep per night
BASIC INFO:
- Age: 28
- Height: 5′7″
- Weight: 165 lbs
- Body fat content: 15.7%
Yet I still have pudge over my abdomen, so it looks like I do not work out, and it looks like I do not eat healthy. This makes me angry, since others literally eat nothing but fried food, desserts, and red meat, and white carbs, and they NEVER work out, and they look more in shape than I do. I was also told that I have high fasting blood sugar and borderline lipid profile (triglycerides were very low though)

I have a friend who would like to sign up for the army. Though, she has this disease called RHD. So I wonder if she could still sign up even though she has this. She has a Bachelor’s Degree and would like to be an Officer.

Open Question: Fear I might be pregnant?? Signs?
Okay, I am a 17 year old girl who had sex for the second time in my live, both times with my current boyfriend whom I have dated for a year. both times it was protected. But I can not use the pill because of a disease I have that makes the possibility of getting a stroke or heart failure very high.
But after the second time, I started fearing/having paranoia about being pregnant. I know it was protected but some times things go wrong anyway. My menstruation is late and I have, not swollen breast but they are sore. I have a lot of discharge and feel very tired all the time but I don’t throw up or have any change in what kind of food i like. I have this constant fear of being pregnant and it’s really frightening I don’t want a child. I know this might just be paranoia but this is the last thing I want in the world. I want to take a pregnancy test, but I live in s very small community that is very unforgiving and were it can be very hard to buy one unseen and the word would spread to my parents, the last thing I want.
I will go to the big city to buy a test just wanted to hear you people out for advice and help.

Open Question: I can’t control my stomach?
a 14 year old male, I weigh 123.8 and Im 5′ 8″. In class, when I’m sitting, My stomach doesn’t particularly feel unpleasant, but I can feel like I’m going to pass gas. It’s not like a huge loud roar, but more of air that I might have swallowed, but that’s the problem. I could not eat for the entire day, and that would lessen it a bit, but not too much. I don’t swallow air, and I do not really open my mouth in class. At one point, I even started holding my breath periodically, about every 10 minute for about 2 minutes. I’ve searched all over and I’ve seen no real cases of gastero intestinal diseases or problem in young males, Some days, my stomach will make a barely audiable bubbling noise. and it will feel more like a tickle than a pain. If it helps any, I’m on an antibiotic for ear infections, which I believe is amoxocilline, and a conjongivitus, or pink eye, antibiotic, which is a three times a day drop directly to my eye. This has been happening since before, but if it is enhanced/worsened by this, I would like to know. I do not have any type of diarehha or constapation, I use the bathroom about once a day… I eat mostly pasta at school, since that is really the only thing the chef knows how to make right. Occasionally, I buy poptarts and I drink water throughout the day, every day. If this helps, I was on a diet of ensure, a diabetic drink, (I think) which made me gain a lot of weight. I had heart problems during the weight gain, which were moderate to severe chest pains and some breathing problems… only to be expected with my lack of stamina at 169 pounds. I exercise regulary, a couple reps of 20 pushups, a random amount of sit-ups, and random jogs. I do crack the bones in my body a lot, (ect. twisting my head to make my neck make a popping sound, twisting my body for my back to make the same sound) and some days I do nothing but play video games. Sorry to make you read all of this but I just want my stomach fixed, I don’t feel like taking a thousand pills or going to the hospital for stupid long lines and X-Ray waits that don’t even get to you until the week after.
