ive been smoking for the last 5 years…..im 20 and i smoke around 4-8 cigarretes a day…i quit for an year in between but i started again……..3 days ago i was experiencing an increase in my heart rate and palpatation and yesterday i was having a slight pain in my heart….i cant quit as after every hour i want to smoke……should i get myself checked and if so then wot tests shud i get done…….and i smoke benson and hedges oo

Open Question: Sharp chest pains after cardio?
I am a 5′2 129lb. 20 year old girl whom has had a EKG and diagnosed with a heart murmur but was told it was not serious. However since I can remember I can never run very far or keep my heart beat up for long periods of time but I feel like I have the energy, but after a half a mile my chest gets tight and its hard to catch my breathe.
Today I had an hour exercise class, by the end I felt like my heart was very tight and it was having pins stabbed through it. And for the rest of the day my heart has felt sore, if thats possible? I was just wondering what could it be? Am i just making my heart work to hard?

Resolved Question: When is irregular heart sounds a concern?
My son (5) has been diagnosed with a sinus arythmia. He has had a heart monitor for 24 hours with no noticable concerns. He has also had a ecocardiogram, ultrasound of his heart, the works, and everything looked “within normal limits.” He complains that his “heart is pumping and it hurts.” His next option is to wear a monitor for a month and record these episods. The problem is he is also ADHD and had a developmentat genetic disorder so the likelihood of this being a successful venture is not likely. My father dropped dead at 48 and my mother flat-lined at the hospital at 42 but made a full recovery. With that dismal family history, I am very scared the docs are missing something. He has an appt. next month with the cardiologist. If nothing is determined, I am seeking a second opinion. Any words of wisdom about this?

Resolved Question: Movement in stomach, and unsure of cause, please help?
I have been feeling a weird movement for about a week. also a warm sensation and palpatation. i feel it when i just wake up in the morning mostly. i also feel some sort of palpatation as if it were my heart there. i could feel this morning it moving. and seems like a ball or something. first thought was that i could be pregnant (although i had my period normally but i did have sexual contact with my bf but i dont think we actually had sex a month ago and a half ago). so i have been extremely worried and took a take home pregnacy exam and i took it at nite and it was negative (it read it fairly quickly). i will take another one tomorrow in the morning (when there should be more hormones in my urine).
in addition, i have read that it could be stress, nausea, and other health problems. i have a history of stomach diseases in my family so maybe? or do you think i may be pregnant?
i am going the docs as soon as possible this week. just wanted some answers from you guys! thanks

Voting Question: Has anyone had or known anyone who has had Heart failure?
My mom went into full cardiac arrest on Friday and her heart stopped twice they said she has a severe arythmia but hasn’t had any since saturday. She isn’t very responsive. They had her on life support but now she is mostly breathing on her own. I wanted to know if anyone has gone through anytyhing like this before or known anyone, if so please tell me if they made a full recovery? she looks at us when we say her name loud and tries to hold me and my little sisters hand. can ppl who this has happened to make a full recovery?
by full recovery i mean like…able to function normally again and walk and talk and go on with everyday life :).
