Al Terry asked:

New York has another sensation. It’s “Grease!” The musical with the famous rock and roll high school party is here in your city! This Broadway show is a fine example of the pop culture of the 50’s. So, all you party animals out there, gear up your party wear and experience passionate music. “Grease” is on everyone’s lips!

Thanks to Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, the people of New York have a great entertainer on Broadway. “Grease” is not a recent production. It has been around since 1972! From then till now, it has managed to sell millions of tickets. You cannot imagine getting a seat in a theatre, where “Grease” is running! Call this the height of popularity or the depth of passion – this musical is going to stay for a long time on Broadway. Except “chorus Line”, so far, no other show has been able to match the popularity of “Grease”.

The male lead character of the story is Danny Zucko. He is a frolicsome person, who has his heart fluttering for high school beauties. His hip hop look featuring slick hair, denim clothes, and a cigarette portrays the typical flirtatious guy look of the 1950s. He knows how to hit it right with the women. No wonder he is popular in high school.

The female lead character is Sandy Dumbrowski. She is a virtuous girl with her heart at the right place. She values morality more than anything else. The story takes a twist when the flirtatious Danny meets the virtuous Sandy in high school. Then starts the big chase. Danny wants Sandy. But will she reciprocate his feelings? Well, you will have to watch “Grease” to know it! The characters of Danny and Sandy are played by Max Crumm and Laura Osnes, respectively.

Jacobs and Casey have done a beautiful job. They have rendered a terrific combination of mushy love and rock and roll music. Music is the biggest attraction of “Grease”. And the story, well, it simply sizzles with sudden twists and turns! For whole two hours, you forget everything else in the world and focus on Danny and Sandy. Do not be surprised, if you get an urge to jump on the stage and dance a little jig, when the rock’n’roll party begins!

Seven Tony awards and house full record for six years – this is “Grease” for you! Broadway surely knows how to entertain its fans!

Now, with such an astounding success, getting tickets is the most difficult part. Forget box offices and turn to ticketing services. Either call them through phone or log on the websites. This is the only way you can enter the theatre to watch “Grease.” Although, you might have to shell a few dollars extra, but who cares? The experience that you get inside the theatre, watching this musical is worth more than any number of dollars!

So, pick up your phone and join the party! The entire New York is talking about it. You wouldn’t like to left behind, would you?

Open Question: Any explanations to this?
‘m 16. Most of my life had been spent in lonliness, with almost no friends and parents who mostly cherished my younger sister. Things got pretty bad around age 12. I started having suicidal thoughts, and I had a nightmare that haunted me for the next 3 years so much that I was afraid to sleep. Also, I felt very unloved, and I ended up crying at my 8th grade’s graduation dance when all the girls danced with a guy and no one would even notice me. I gave up on love. Beggining freshman year, we had religion class in a private high school and I was questioning in believing in God or not. For nights and days, I prayed for a miracle. All I wanted was someone to give me undying love, protection, support, and give my life a reason to continue. I had a crush on a boy 2 years older from karate school and we talked online a bit, but I never told him I like him because I was so afraid to another broken heart. 3 weeks later, he asked me out.
Everything changed since then. We have been together ever since, 2 years. We cried together after he told me his past; it was unbelievably similar to mine: a nightmare around age 12 that scarred our childhood memories, many broken hearts, and lonliness. He was ignored by parents who loved his older brother more. He also considered suicide at 12. However, together we were able to cry together, and everytime he held me in his arms I didn’t want to be anywhere else. I am not afraid of death, disease, or anything else, as long as he’s there. We both made sacrifices and accepted each other when no one else couldn’t. I think we’re in love. I used to be obsessed about crushes, but no one comes to my interest the same way anymore.
Ideas?
I was crying with joy. I didn’t believe it, but now I believe in God more than ever :D I don’t see how I could’ve been so blessed…
But I really can’t believe it.
I would die for him, I love every little part of him so much and I always have a tendency to come back to him no matter where I am.
Btw, I felt this boy was my guardian angel. I prayed for an angel. He’s always there to back up before I die and reunite with God.
I meant I am 16, not ‘m 16 srry lol.

Open Question: i have a heart murmur and i am afraid that i am going to die from it as it was a late diagnosis?
I have been a fairly healthy person for most of my life. Until one night i decided to have a few cigarettes with booze. That night I had heart burn and I did nothing about it, i just rested on my bed lying down. I remember thinking thank god its actually stopped, I am slowly dyeing?

Open Question: My 9 month old nephew is constantly sick.?
My sister got pregnant at the age of 16, I was the first person in my family she called. The father is the same age. Some problem are.. the baby is always sick, dirty, he isn’t fed right foods. They live in a two bedroom trailer with 10 people. The dad is a pot head and now I’m not sure that my sister isn’t. They have had dept. of familes called on them a couple times, but they dont seem to want to do anything. They did ask what her family is doing to help. My father is constantly paying their bills, buying food, the house is furnished by us, she has been given $150 in the last week and a half for gas ( I dont even use that much and my husband works, we have kids in school, track and football, plus I have took her to the hospital this week) I took her and the baby to the hospital the other night. I had to find sitters for our four kids because my husband works 3rd shift then she spent $25 dollars at the hospital on food which I paid for! If we don’t give her what she wants she doesnt want to talk to us and my whole family is scared to death for the baby. Currently he has a staph infection, heart murmur that the docs just found, and at the hospital the other night he was diagnosed with hand foot, mouth, disease. The doctor said it was very contagious and there is no treatment for it. Just give him lots of fluids, soft foods, and said all the antibiotics he is taking isn’t helping is immune system. I told her to buy sanitizers, go to the store and get the food the doc suggested, I also told her yogurt would be good for him. The doctor at the er also suggested to find him new doctor. Well she hasn’t done anything. There are two other babies in the house shes living in and now they have the most recent disease with strep on top of it. I am so frustated!!! What can I do to make her wake up and realise her son needs to be taken care of. Also my father told her he would take care of her and the baby but she refuses to leave this big dumb pot head boy who does nothing for her!
oh yeah as for him not eating the right foods… tell me if I’m wrong…last week she brought him to my house with his “supper” that constisted of a deviled egg, a big slice of ham, and cajun rice. I have four kids and just wouldnt ever think to feed them stuff like that. They were giving him baby food at a week old, pouring it in his bottles. And just letting him taste stuff like kethcup, icecream, mashed potatoes, all within the first couple weeks of his life, now apparently he eats what grown ups eat at 8/9 months.

Open Question: Economics question; HELP! Pt. 3!?
Was hoping someone could walk me through this:
Statin drugs (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A [HMG-CoA] reductase inhibitors) are drugs used to lower blood cholesterol and reduce the increased cardiovascular disease risk associated with high cholesterol levels. A study in the January 24/31 2001 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association finds benefit to giving statin drugs to heart attack patients while they are recovering in
hospital. Specifically the probability of dying in the first year after release from hospital was found to fall from 10% for those not taking statin while in hospital to 5% for those who took statin while in hospital.
We consider the costs and benefits of giving statin to 1,000 heart attack patients when
- The cost of the statin treatment is $4,500 per patient.
- For simplicity assume that for those whose life is saved exactly one year of life is saved.
- The benefit of saving one year of life is placed at $100,000.
For simplicity it is assumed that the all of the benefits of statin use occur in the first year.
(A) Perform a cost-benefit analysis of the use of statin. Does it favor the use of statin?
(B) What is the cost of statin treatment per year of life saved?
(C) Now consider quality of life adjusted years. Suppose that all people who experience a heart attack have a lower quality of life after heart attack. It has been calculated that their quality of life adjustment factor is 0.90 (where perfect health is 1.00). What is the cost of statin treatment per quality adjusted year of life saved?

Open Question: Men would you be upset if you were not having enough sex in your marriage?
I am 33, and my husband is 28. We have been together for 6 yrs (no children). I have mitochondrial disease which means i have a mutation in my DNA that causes my body not to be able to turn food into energy the right way. It has a hard time. Because of this I have many organ problems. As a child i knew i had slight eye problems, and heart disease. This summer i found out i also have nerve disease in my lower legs, muscle disease in both my arms and legs, and mild liver disease. I have been in congestive heart failure two times. My husband and I sex life is pretty much nonexsistent. I told him when i met him that my conditions will only get worse with time. He plays off like he is ok, but like tonight in converstaion the issue of sex came up and he was saying how we have not made love in a long time etc. And he was mad about it. I know he looks at 89.com alot. I feel like he holds so much anger to me becuase we don’t make love enough. I am not well but i am very loving, faithful, and commited young woman, i guess my major down fall is the sex part. I’m actually in congestive heart failure right now. I understand he is a man, but i cannot do anything about my problems. I’m just wondering if other men would be as upset as my husband is about the lack of sex, or would they understand and not make it the most important thing and yell at me about it. My husband plays off like he’s ok everyday, but he has alot of anger and emotion about it if its broght up. If its so important to him why doesn’t he just find another girl that can make love. Guys would you feel the same way as as my husband regardless of my physical conditions and problems?
i don’t mind just pleasing him, but this makes him mad to because he says he wants to return the favor. So he’s not happy with that either.

Open Question: Should I be concerned about my heart rate?
I’m a 24 year old female and for awhlie I was thinking that I was taking panic attacks, but I’m not quite sure what is going on. ( I was born with a heart murmur, but my mother was told that I grew out of it) My 11 year old brother experiences supraventricular tachycarida once every few years, his heart rate usually goes over 200 bpm….back to me….. Within the last few weeks I’ve noticed my heart rate jumping up quite frequently. It increases to 120-150 a few times a day. It does it at random times, while I’m in class, relaxing outside w/my daughter & coloring w/sidewalk chalk, baking cookies… I will also mention that I’m about 35lbs overweight. I’ve been to the hospital twice, my EKG was normal, my bloodwork was normal, I had a 24 hour holter monitor (I didn’t experience any symptoms while wearing it), but it was also normal. The ER physican just tells me to go to my family doctor, but he just so happens to be out of town for 2 weeks. I’m getting really concerned about myself, b/c I get light headed, feel like I’m gonna pass out, I can feel my heart pounding throughout my body & have difficulty breathing. I’ve been reading up on things & have read that a resting heart rate for my age over 100 is not normal. Any suggestions on what is happening to me?
*I’m not currently on any medications.

Open Question: HELP! 16 years old, H.pylori infection and heart palpitations!?
Long story, sorry!! ^_^
I’m a pretty healthy 16 year old female, i don’t smoke, or drink, or do drugs. And there’s no history of disease in my family. I never really had an serious medical problems, just the occasional flu or cold. I live in Germany and I have been here for about 4 years.
But a few months ago, I started getting these weird heart palpitations. I could LITERALLY feel my heart pounding extremely hard and heavy constantly in my chest. I knew it wasn’t normal. I told my dad about it. He said it was all probably just anxiety. But I had no reason to be anxious about anything. But for the next couple of weeks, I was still having those weird heart palpitations. So I told my dad and he took me to the clinic on the American base where I go to school. I had my vitals checked, and they were a bit abnormal. So the doc prescribed ATENOLOL for me, and told us to go see a German internal medicine doctor/cardiologist the next day. So we did. At the doctor’s the next day, I had an ultrasound done of my heart, and he said everything was fine. He said I have an extremely small deficiency in my heart (I didn’t really understand what he was talking about). But that alot of people have it and it’s perfectly normal. I also did a breathing test and the results from that were also normal. He said to come back in the next two weeks for a holtor monitor and stress test. After that, we went home.
But a week or so later, I woke up feeling REALLY sick, like I had to throw up and then my heart started racing. I had no idea why. I told my dad, and he drove me to the hospital. My stomach felt like it had acid in it. I felt awful! So I stayed in the German hospital for 5 hours. My heart rate eventually went back to normal, and they said it was ok for me to go home. So we did. But for the next couple of days, I started getting REALLY sick. I could barely move, I felt sick all the time, and had a constant pounding heart and irregular heartbeats. I felt like my heart was ’sick’ or something. So my parents took me to the hospital again, and this time, I stayed for 3 days. I had 3 blood tests done, and 2 ultrasounds done on my heart. Everything was normal. Even though I felt sick the whole time, they kept telling me I was “ok”. Eventually , I went home and soon went back to school.
After a few weeks, my dad came into the school and told me that the doctors found something in a stool sample, a bacteria called H.pylori. He said they think I have an infection or something, but I was so happy that they finally found something and it wasn’t all just in my head. So the next day I got my antibiotics. I got 3 different antibiotics and I have to take them 3 different times a day. I also take Zoloft and half-tablets of an anti-anxiety pill called Clorazapam or something like that.
So I’ve been taking all my antibiotics and medications as directed. But I’ve still been feeling sick for weeks. I recently say my internal medicine doctor, and I had a stress test done, and an ultrasound of my stomach, diaphram, etc. and he said everything was fine. But there are so many things I don’t understand. The doctors say there is NOTHING that’s organic wrong with my heart and physiologically it is fine. But why does my heart pound so hard and heavy? I can barely go up stairs anymore! Also, why didn’t H.pylori antibodies show up in the blood tests? And I have all these horrible flu-like symptoms like a constant soar/itchy/scratchy throat, painful headaches and sinus pressure, more frequent bowel movements, an extremely hard pounding heart, dizziness, fatigue, and more. My ears ring alot, also. And I sweat ALOT. But just under my arms. I had all these symptoms even before I started the antibiotics so I don’t think they are caused by side effects. The soar throat, headaches/sinus pressure/and pounding heart are the symptoms that affect me most and I feel so sick all the time. Sometimes it feels like I’m having trouble breathing and I get hungry alot more. I’m kind of scared because I don’t think H.pylori can cause those symptoms, unless maybe someone has an ulcer from it, but I don’t have one. I don’t think H.pylori is the only thing making me sick. I’m scared it might be a more serious stomach/gastral problem or maybe cancer, or even lyme disease. I talked to my parents about this, and they said they will take me to the doctors so we I can get more tests and stuff done. But I know that sometimes antibiotics can interfere with blood tests so I will talk to them about that. But I AM kind of glad that they found nothing EXTREMELY serious or life threatening, but I still feel awful all the time. I have so many headaches, that sometimes I think I may have a brain tumor. I know, I worry WAY too much. I’m just anxious to talk to the doctors again.
So basically, I was diagnosed with an H.pylori related infection, but I have symptoms such as: constant POUNDING heart, painful headaches and sinus pressure, increased hunger and sometimes NO app
NO appetite. I shake alot too because my heart beats so hard and forceful. Dizziness and fatigue, and of course, anxiety. I’m going to be tested for cancer and lyme disease, and I hope I have neither. I also might get an ENDOSCOPY done. I just want my symptoms to go away and I want to feel healthy again.
PLEASE HELP!! ANY HELP/ADVICE is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Juliet Cohen asked:

Cardiac arrhythmia is a group of conditions in which the electrical activity of the heart is irregular or is faster or slower than normal. Cardiac arrhythmias comprise any abnormality or pertubation in the normal activation sequence of the myocardium. Arrhythmias stem from several causes. The heart’s natural timekeeper—a small mass of special cells called the sinus node—can malfunction and develop an abnormal electrical impulse rate. CPR can prolong the survival of the brain in the lack of a normal pulse, but defibrillation is the intervention which is most likely to restore a more healthy heart rhythm. A slow rhythm, known as bradycardia (less than 60 beats/min), is usually not life threatening, but may cause symptoms. When it causes symptoms implantation of a permanent pacemaker may be needed. Either dysrhythmia requires medical attention to evaluate the risks associated with the arrhythmia. The signs and symptoms of cardiac arrhythmias can range from completely asymptomatic to loss of consciousness or sudden cardiac death.

Complaints such as lightheadedness, dizziness, quivering, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, heart fluttering or pounding, and forceful or painful extra beats are commonly reported with a variety of arrhythmias. Beats are generated by electrical impulses in the atria (top chambers of the heart) and are then conducted to the ventricles, where they produce the powerful muscle contraction that pumps blood. People may have allergies or idiosyncratic reactions to many other foods and beverages that cause transitory arrhythmias. Long-term nicotine exposure and any cocaine exposure can cause much more serious arrhythmias. Oxidative stress is a common feature of ischemic-reperfusion injuries, which occur when the heart is temporarily deprived of oxygenated blood (a state known as ischemia), followed by the reintroduction of oxygenated blood (reperfusion). The development of arrhythmias include congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure (hypertension).

Advances in medicine and technology have created new treatment options for cardiac arrhythmia (commonly known as heart rhythm disturbances). Cardioversion is the application of electrical current across the chest wall to the heart and it is used for treatment of supraventricular or pulsed ventricular tachycardia. Defibrillation differs in that it is used for ventricular fibrillation and pulseless ventricular tachycardia, and more electricity is delivered with defibrillation than with cardioversion. Arrhythmias may involve medications (anti-arrhythmic therapy), catheter ablations, and implantation of pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD). Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) or CRT-D (CRT with defibrillator therapy) is an innovative therapeutic option for patients with refractory HF. Defibrillation differs in that it is used for ventricular fibrillation and more electricity is delivered with defibrillation than with cardioversion. Antiarrhythmic medications help to change the electrical signals within the heart to suppress or prevent the arrhythmia.

Treatment for Cardiac Arrhythmias Tips

1. Using a small, battery-powered generator to deliver timed, electrical impulses to the heart muscle through tiny wire leads.

2. The treatment for some patients is a technique called cardiac ablation.

3. Magnetic Guidance in the Heart While transcatheter ablation is very effective, it can be difficult.

4. Stereotaxis Niobe Magnetic Navigation System uses two superconductive magnets, a magnetic-tipped guide wire and advanced computer imaging techniques.

5. Atrial fibrillation can also be treated through a procedure, e.g. pulmonary vein isolation.

6. Fibrillation differs in that it is used for ventricular fibrillation and pulseless ventricular tachycardia.

Open Question: My poem Why oh why longer version?
Why oh why
My gf cheated I barely cried
I prayed wisdom
she acted dumb
I felt heated
because she cheated
my new best friend is captain crunch
I ate some for lunch
my car is my new wife
at least she will not hurt me in this life
now i lift weights
everything in my life is going to be straight
I dont worry about finding a mate
I almost was a sucker for a girl who was using me for bait
She thought I was going to be the one to sit around while she partied and wait
She never thought I would confront face to face
She was hurt when I dumped her at her place
She tried to chase
But the other guy was in her place
Sitting on the couch
Stuffing his mouth
A part of me said now I can get a hotter woman than her
One who could make my heart purrrrrrrrr
Or maybe skip a beat like a heart murmur
Life was getting stupid
Oh no I just killed cupid
now my heart is in closed in an armored pod
Time for me to get closer with god
Maybe it is time for me to see
that there really are more fishes in the sea
Too bad I dont have a net lol
What do you guys/gals think about it
I made this up in like 3 mins bit this happened for real
Is this any good?
This is my revised longer version lol
I know there are grammar errors I was typing fast lol. But this is true lol. I can laugh at myself lol
@Jlynch

Open Question: Dog with heart murmur, excessive salivating, and vomiting almost everyday.?
Please read questions entirely. My vet always seems to test for what I suggest so I am looking for some recommendations. My dog vomits just about everyday. She is an intact 3 year old, 70 lb. Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff). It is believed by a vet recently seen for vaccines that she has a grade 4 or 5 heart murmur. She doesn’t have as much energy as she used to. We just discovered the tip of her docked tail that alot of hair has fallen out and she has what looks like a scabby spot there. She also has a growing spot on the opening of her female area. Lately (the last three months or so) she has been excessively salivating. She even wakes us up in the middle of the night in a panic and has salivated everywhere to cause very large pools of spit on the floor. We also have a neutured, 2 1/2 year male Cane Corso in the house. Both do NOT have access to other dogs. I am trying to get some ideas as to what this could be. Dangerous or not. Determine if I need to take additional steps. Like I said, the vets we see on a regular basis seem to test for what we suggest. So recommendations are appreciated. Thank you.
We have seen several vets during her life and all are the same. All want to test for things that we suggest. Looking for answers from people that might have similar situations or know of similar situations.
She can NOT be spayed because of her heart murmur unless they did the surgery without any anesthetic. Which is not a possibility. She wouldn’t live through the surgery. I did say the the male we have is neutured already.

Open Question: Attn vet techs: Need Kitty advice!!?
My uncle has a cat, a persian to be exact…my uncle and his gf always get animals for the novelty of it and dont take good care of them. They recently moved to a new place and now they put the persian OUTSIDE (should always be an inside cat, i know that) I looked at him and he is very skinny and I looked at his gums and he is starting to show signs of periodontal disease. I use to have an exotic shorthair for 10 years so I know persians need special care. the poor thing broke my heart and now im trying to convince my husband and my uncle to let me take him in….the only concern is my husband doesnt want the new cat to get our present cat Radley sick…If radley is all caught up on his shots is there any chance that the persian can get him sick?? Any advice would be GREAT.
