Open Question: got told today my baby has a heart murmur, should I be worried?
My baby had her 9month review today and dr said he thinks she has a heart murmur but couldn’t be sure so wants me to go back in a month. I am worried now, was due to go back to work aswell but realy dont want to leave her now I know this. If I quit my job what would I be entitled to because we wouldnt be able to pay mortgage with just my partners wages.

Voting Question: are inderal’s effects everlasting?
i used it for about a week or so then stopped but i noticed that my heart is never quite the same , i get imbalances in my blood pressure now and general feelings of exhaustion and sometimes frailty. and it’s been almost two weeks since i stopped it. i am anemic and i started on iron pills. i took inderal for heart arythmia but it’s so calm now that i can’t feel it and sometimes i gasp for air.

Open Question: ASD surgery using catheter??? I am freaking out.?
I had the surgery about 6 years ago but I was too young to really think about it… but now I found out that it is a new surgery and not much is known about the consequences… I read that since it is not used as much as normal surgery it might cause leakage, arythmia, and heart failure… does it mean I may not even live till I am an adult???

Open Question: What are some good pet insurance companies?
I want to get insurance for my kitten. He has a heart murmur and its going to cost about 500 bucks to get checked out. I can not imagine how much the treatment will cost.
So I am looking for something that will cover things like that. Along with medication and vet visits.

hello, due to doctors orders, i am monitoring my BP. i range from 111-194/50-110. im 15 years of age, and my blood presure remains on average, 145+/85+, Pulse: 90+.
all BPs were taken at rest, and im on a very light, soft diet (orders)

Breathlessness
Increased bowel movements

Muscle weakness

Other than Hair Loss, staring gaze, i do have all other symptoms
again, i am 15 years old, 139lbs, fairly fit.. and i do well in school and am active

Open Question: Is this normal or is this Reynaud’s Disease?
When I go out in this cold weather, if I’m properly dressed, I feel completely fine except for my fingers and toes, which freeze up. My toes, under my shoes or boots, get cold and do not re-warm themselves, and they can continue getting colder and colder when I go inside, especially if I am sitting, unless I remove my shoes (and I find that some of them have turned bright white, and stay half-numb that way for a half hour). My fingers don’t turn white but they get numbed fairly easily. I don’t have any other symptoms in my digits. By the way, I am a 20-year-old male.
Also, could these symptoms come from a weakened heart?

Open Question: In a weird situation…Air Force Medical?
Hello all answerers…
Well when i went to MEPS, i self diagnosed myself. I said i was allergic to bees, and that i once thought i had a heart problem, Once….
For one i am not allergic, i never was diagnosed, and i never got stung. Long story…i mistaked me for being allergic to my older sister.
and two, i never been diagnosed with a abnormal heart, or any kinda of murmurs. i have been playing ball all my life, and i think i was just exhausted that one time cause i was really tired.
so i have no medical records to send to the SG. But my medical package got sent to the SG and he didnt deny me or approve me…But he sent back to my recruiter a request for consultation.
My question is, if all goes well in my consult wendsday, and those results are sent to MEPS, can the chief medical officer(civilian doctor) at MEPS un-disqualify me, and approve me to finish the enlistment process? Instead of wasting time sending it all the way back to the SG for another 30 business days?
Advice would be helpful

Open Question: Am I a hypochondriac!?
Every time I read anything to do with mental or physical illness such as heart disease, epilepsy, schizophrenia or diabetes I go through the symptoms and automatically think that i have them all. I seem to relate to most of the symptoms then get really worried and anxious.
I have had a history of anxiety problems too. Whenever i feel tingles in my right arm I think I’m getting pins and nedles in it therefore leading to a heart attack.
Does anyone else suffer from hypochondria? Do you think I actually have it or think I have it?!

Open Question: WWYD: Jasmines grade II heart murmur is gone…vet said wan off supplement…I dont think I want to?
I don’t know if anyone remembers me, but I took in a pregnant stray in april and when I took her to the vet she had a grade II heart murmur. I took her in today (6 months later) for a re-check and the murmur is completely gone. He said that she could have been anemic that caused it but he was quite confused on it being GONE.
I have been supplementing her with 100mg (she is 45lbs) of Coenzyme Q10 and fish oil. He told me 6 months ago there were no supplements to try but I found some….He told me to wean her off and see what happens but I am unsure of if I want to do that.
SO what would you do?
