Open Question: How does a heart attack feel like?
What are some of the warning signs, any information would be helpful. Usually I am answering questions on cancer but heart disease is the number one killer so if you were feeling like you were having one, what would that feel like?

Open Question: Why is my heart itchy?
Background… 19yo Female:
I have heart murmur/palpitations that I’m treating with toprol. I have narcolepsy that I take provigil for. And who knows what else (I have 3 referrals from today’s visit with my gen pract. - another sleep doctor, a doctor to perform a sonogram on my thyroid, and my regular cardiologist. woo.)
I was hanging out with a bunch of friends tonight and laughed so hard that my throat feels raw - but my heart is ITCHING, it’s slightly hurting, but mostly itching. I’ve experienced pain in my heart plenty of times, but the itching is new!
What causes a heart to itch?

Open Question: Help? The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe?
Hey. I need 6 songs that match the mood and melody of the story, possibly even in the lyrics. If you don’t know what it’s about read this:
“The Tell-Tale Heart” is a first-person narrative of an unnamed narrator who insists he is sane but suffering from a disease which causes “over-acuteness of the senses.” The old man with whom he lives has a clouded, pale, blue “vulture-like” eye which so distresses the narrator that he plots to murder the old man. The narrator insists that his careful precision in committing the murder shows that he cannot possibly be insane. For seven nights, the narrator opens the door of the old man’s room, a process which takes him a full hour. However, the old man’s vulture eye is always closed, making it impossible to do the deed.
On the eighth night, the old man awakens and sits up in his bed while the narrator performs his nightly ritual. The narrator does not draw back and, after some time, decides to open his lantern. A single ray of light shines out and lands precisely on the old man’s eye, revealing that it is wide open. Hearing the old man’s heartbeat beating unusually and dangerously quick from terror, the narrator decides to strike, jumping out with a loud yell giving the old man a heart attack and then smothering the old man with his own bed. The narrator proceeds to chop up the body and conceal the pieces under the floorboards. The narrator makes certain to hide all signs of the crime. Even so, the old man’s scream during the night causes a neighbor to call the police. The narrator invites the three officers to look around. Claiming that the screams heard were his own in a nightmare, and that the man is out of town at the moment. Confident that they will not find any evidence of the murder. The narrator brings chairs for them and they sit in the old man’s room, right on the very spot where the body was concealed, yet they suspect nothing, as the narrator has a pleasant and easy manner about him.
The narrator, however, begins to hear a faint noise. As the noise grows louder, the narrator comes to the conclusion that it is the heartbeat of the old man coming from under the floorboards instead of the possibility that it is his own nervous heartbeat. The sound increases steadily, though the officers seem to pay no attention to it. Shocked by the constant beating of the heart and a feeling that the officers must be aware of the sound, the narrator confesses to killing the old man and tells them to tear up the floorboards to reveal the body.
About putting this in P&S– This category is always filled with people, so I thought i could get more answers this way. Thanks for the comment though.

Open Question: what to do with my poor sick kitty?
i adopted a cat from four paws rescue to find out four days later the cat has gingivitis, ulcers in his mouth, a upper respiratory infection, and a small heart murmur, and i didn’t sign up for a sick cat i thought i was doing the right thing by adopting this almost 8 month long haired black cat who is adorable. so the first vet appointment was free but the blood work and the medication wasn’t and so i had to pay $205 and the vet lady to wants to do a echo gram on my cats heart for the murmur… i cant afford that im 18 years old living with my boyfriend in the house we just bought and its our third week in our new home the first bills haven’t even came yet. so my question is does anyone know how much the echo gram is gonna cost and if i can avoid it because its a small heart murmur will he be didn’t i didn’t get it done? oh and the my new cat might have a disease that’s why the vet wanted to do the blood work . and my boyfriend adopted his cat from four paws 3 years ago and his cat was sick when he got him but i guess they dont care that they are giving people sick cats even if they dont know that you cant afford a sick cat because vet bills are soo expensive .
and also i tried calling the four paws rescue and there mailbox is full so i sent them a email .

Open Question: What is up with this guy? I need some advice.?
I met this guy three years ago. We were even engaged.
He broke up with me about a year later. He said I needed my freedom and space since I had gotten my divorce from my ex.
Months later I asked him why he dumped me, yet we are best friends now.
He said because he didn’t want to be with a woman who was sick “most of the time” he felt that he could not handle that.
I can see why to a point his ex wife died from a heart attack.
Well he and I hang out everyday and when I need to go to the Er to get pain shots for my headaches he is right by my side to go with me and to be my driver.
He knows my “degenerative disc disease, back problems” is not real bad and that it doesn’t keep me from doing the things I love to do.
So what is up with this guy he tells me he doesn’t want to date me because I am sick “most of the time, yet we hangout together everyday?
What do you think is up with this guy?
Thanks

Hary Davidson asked:

When I first heard about free dating sites, there were many frightening stories which came along with it. The first of these stories was that only ruffians signed up on these sites. No one who had any self respect would get involved in any of these sites. Again another story was that there was no security in these sites. Once you signed up on any site, your personal information was everywhere on the web. Anyone could have access to it and hence you could not live in peace. But with time, all these stories have come to an end. Most of the youngsters today use these free dating sites to make friends who may be just casual ones, or even to find life partners to last a lifetime.

In my case, I joined many free dating sites to make casual acquaintances with people. I made many friends who shared the same interests as I do. Sometimes I chose friends who were very different from me. I got to learn a lot about the variety of life from my online friends. Sometimes I used to get a bit naughty with my girlfriends. But everything was for fun. One of these girls was Fanny. She was a very vibrant personality eager to make friends. I enquired about her hobbies and learnt that she was a great fan of pop music, Michael Jackson being her favorite.

A few weeks after that, I learnt that there was a show of Michael Jackson to be held in our city. Immediately I booked two tickets and invited her over. That night when I chatted with her and told her she was overcome with happiness and was rapturous about meeting her idol. My heart gave a small squeeze thinking she was not interested in seeing me. I did not know whether to be jealous of Michael Jackson or feel hurt that Fanny had not thought of me. Anyway, I waited for the D-day with mixed feelings in my heart. My friendship over the free dating sites was about to be tested.

The day finally arrived. I waited at the predetermined place. She gave me a call on the mobile. I signaled to her that I was standing next to the coffee shop. I recognized her instantly. She was a blonde, slender in body and having a beautiful oval shaped face. Her eyes were a deep ocean blue. She wore blue denims and a pink tank top. I must say that my heart fluttered to see her. I was instantly drawn to her. I tried to find out about her feelings but she was raving all about seeing Michael Jackson. She thanked me again and again for giving her the opportunity to meet her heartthrob. I remembered her profile in the free dating sites and closely associated her with the image that I had formed of her.

The show was a hit. We celebrated the success over dinner. Fanny was very happy that day. After a few more minutes she started taking notice of me. Just when we got talking about ourselves, it was time for her to go. From that day onwards I am still waiting for some signal from her. Till then, I will continue to chat with her on the free dating sites. There is still fond hope in my heart that Fanny will return my feelings and we will have a great time again.

dhlim88 asked:

There are some useful relationship advices for you to get your ex love partner back for a making up relationship

Get Your Ex Back - Relationship Advice? Here’s another big mistake many people - who have broken up with their boyfriend, husband, girlfriend, or wife - make when trying to get their ex back… They go from one place to another in search of information about how to get their ex back. They’re looking for that one “magic bullet” that will solve everything so they can get back with their ex.

And when they find a snippet of information - which they hope is that “magic bullet” - they act on that information without having a strategy or plan in place.

Now…that’s a HUGE mistake. Let me show you why it can hurt your chances for getting back with your ex. They have a PLAN For Getting Back with Your Ex

You see, you need the “big picture” when you’ve broken up with your ex - whether it’s an ex boyfriend, husband, ex girlfriend, or wife. You need to know how to approach getting your ex back with an organized and rational “Get Your Ex Back” strategy.

That means… No sneaky tricks. No emotional outbursts. No finger pointing. Do any of those things and you’re almost guaranteed to push your ex away from you…and destroy any chance you had of reuniting with your ex. Instead, you need to plan your next step…each step of the way.

You need to know . . .

>> What to do. What to say. How to act. (Don’t make the mistakes that kill your chances of starting over again with your ex.)

>> Whether you should phone your ex. Or whether you should leave messages.

>> The almost “magical” words that get you talking with your ex again so you can have a second chance - especially if your ex is angry and hurt.

>> What signs tell you your ex wants you back.

>> What to do if your ex is with someone else.

>> How to invite your ex on a date.

>> What to do if you cheated on your ex.

>> How to diffuse arguments before they start. (Change your relationship with your ex so you don’t fall into the same old patterns that caused the break up in the first place.)

>> How to make your relationship with your ex flourish and grow.

Just as importantly, you need to know how to control your emotions during this painful breakup period so you can act with a clear head, sort through your feelings, and know what you want from your relationship. As you can see, there are a lot of things you have to be aware of if you’ve broken up with your ex and you want to win your ex back. And what I’ve just mentioned only scratches the surface. If you’ve broken up with your ex, this is a painful time for you.

Your heart is broken.

When you’ve got something so IMPORTANT on the line as getting back with your ex, you really don’t want to be following little snippets of “advice” you’ve found from all over the place. Instead, get relationship advice or breakup advice that covers the things you need to know to get your ex back. Get advice that gives you a plan you can follow. Breakup advice that shows you a clear path through all the minefields you will encounter as you take the steps to win back your ex’s heart. Is Your Ex Important To You? Open Question: I’m drained all the time. advice/tips please?
I’m 26 years old.
I’ve quit the smokes and the weed (and dabbling in speed&coke) a dozen times in the last 3 years. About a month after quitting I’ve experienced a huge peak in energy levels. I’ve quit for the final time in the new year but feel as sluggish as I did when I was up to no good.
My diet is perfect. I eat a wide and varied amount of the best and most nutritious foods. Organic and locally sourced as far as is practical. I drink rarely. I exercise from time to time but not as much as I used to because of the low energy levels and corresponding lack of motivation.
I’m very tall, slim and lean.
I work about 70 hours per week, but my work is not physically demanding at all. It is not even that mentally demanding most of the time. I often work through the night so I get little sun, if any in the week, seeing as the days are very short here and outside of summer there is almost always complete cloud cover. (I have just started taking a Vitamin D supplement)
I have a history of thyroid problems in my family. My sister has an overactive gland, my mother an under. The men in my family have a history of heart, kidney and liver disease but this is mostly alcohol related.
I developed ecxema at 21 and it has stayed on my elbows and flares up occasionally in patches elsewhere.
I will soon go to a doctor for a full medical before you suggest it, but what I’m looking for is some cheap advice before hand like… oh I don’t know,
eat a high GI diet,
take a certain type of suppplement (I’m not crazy about these and would like my diet to be as natural as is possible)
do a certain type of exercise
read a certain book
train my mind in some manner
take up meditation
or yoga
Or tell me briefly how the above affected your energy levels.
Any help would be appreciated folks as this is beginning to depress me and I was a fairly happy-go-lucky guy all my life. Am I just getting old???!?

Open Question: Grr. Palpitations are back and brought left arm pain - advice?
Alright. I’m 19. My heart is not cool. I have a benign heart murmur and crazy palpitations but I went on metoprolol to help. It did, but it didn’t help my other symptoms (dizziness, fatigue) which was discouraging.
Then I saw a sleep specialist who diagnosed me with narcolepsy…he promised 100mg of provigil would not interfere with the metoprolol. Since it didn’t help me, he upped me to 200mg (even though i told him the medicine makes me nervous - he told me to double the dose and see a psychiatrist to check for ADD). I took 200mg yesterday for the first time but I felt like it made my palpitations even worse… so I only took 100mg today.
A while ago I tried to take a nap before my next class but my heart went ballistic. I waited for it to pop out of my chest, then eventually gave up on the nap. It stopped a bit after I got up, but my left arm is still aching. The left arm pain has happened before, but my doctor said it was probably nothing. I took my blood pressure (115/71 - slightly high for me, but obviously good numbers to be at).
This is so irritating. Did my sleep doctor just lie to me and say that the provogil wouldn’t mess with the metoprolol or is my heart going crazy due to other things? Why is my left arm hurting? I’ve heard of mini-heart attacks - could it be one, or am I worrying too much?
