Voting Question: I think i have a heart problem?
I mean physcially… my mom has a heart arythmia and my cousin had an un diagnosed heart problem which he had to get treated for…once in a while i’ll get this sharp pain in my heart and it often feels more then just a typical spasm. I mean idk i just have that feeling. It literally makes me stop and hold my heart and go “ow ow ow” and hurts momentarily. I won’t even be doing anything stressful. I play sports now and as a kid and i never had a problem.. it never bothered.. i eat healthy and drink lots of water and talk a multi vitamin so i think i’m healthy…my mom was diagnosed in her late 40’s. with heart arythmia and was hospitalized and is now on meds…i want to know if i could have the same thing possibly? Are these signs? And please don’t just say “go to the doctor and see” obviously i will eventuallly but i wanna know what people think to see if i should or not. What do you think? anyone with knowledge?

Open Question: What are some movies that have this conflict…?
I’m doing a novel project and have to relate a passage to a story i have read/seen(movie). The passage I am doing is about how the main character gets heart disease and finds out he cant run the Iditarod ever again.
What are some popular movies that have a conflict where the character gets hurt and can’t continue what he wants or was planned to do?

Open Question: Chest pain help please?
Starting about a month ago, i have been having chest pains. They started in the car, i asked my mom, and she told me it was anxiety. I told her that I didn’t believe that it could be and i had them the whole time in virginia. My mom is a nurse, i recently had a physical and went to a doctor to get sertraline. I think there might be something seriously wrong with my lungs though. One lung feels different than the other, its hard to explain how it feels different. I guess it kind of feels like the left lung isn’t as active as my right if that makes any sense. The other day me and my friends went ding dong ditching and as we ran my left lung started to hurt. Today my friend was going to the deli to get dip and we ran because the kid who was getting it for him was already there. When i exercise my chest always hurts in the same area. I am constantly worried that I have lung cancer or some fatal disease and my mom tries to assure me everytime I ask her about it that i am fine, but I am worried. My mom says that people constantly run in the E.R. thinking they’re having a heart attack. The only difference is I am not worried about a heart attack. I live in a house of cigarette smoke and I told my mom that it is very possible because i swim in a pool of carcinogens. I’m seriously worried about my health and I think my mom is telling me I’m fine because of her extremely bad denial stage of her cigarette addiction. I have many other symptoms of anxiety, parts of my face, head, toes, and fingers will randomly start to feel numb. i feel lightheaded sometimes as well. I never have to cough but i feel like i have to clear my throat sometimes. The dose of sertraline I take is 25mg, the doctor said that it’s just a starter dose. Also, I think that I’m depressed, so that might contribute to my anxiety. I have had an EKG done already and that was completely normal. I am getting bloodwork soon. When I was little I would never talk to anyone besides family. When the waiter would come at a restaurant, i would stop talking and put my head down. I also have a bad habit of biting and picking my fingernails. I have smoked a couple cigarettes but haven’t in awhile and I’m not addicted, and I’ve smoked weed twice. Even now I am constantly worried of what people think of me and I’m extremely shy in school. I go to a boarding school with boarders and day students. The only friends I have there are boarders and that’s because I live with them. I’m 14 years old and I’m turning 15 in September. Do I have something seriously wrong with me, or is it just anxiety like everyone says?

So i went to the docs the other day, and apparently he found i have a systolic heart murmur- anyone know what this is?
I’m booked in for some kind of heart ‘echo’ at the hospital in a few days. But just wondering if someone could give me an idea?
btw, i’m 19, BMI of 20, no one in my family has a history of heart disease or anything.
Thanks in advance!

Open Question: My cat needs a blood transfusion because he’s severely anemic?
He has a heart murmur and last night I thought he was going to die. He was lethargic with no energy to eat or drink and seemed to be gasping for breath. I took him to the vet and they said he has a heart murmur and that he has almost no red blood cells. But his liver and kidneys are OK, so she recommended a blood transfusion but that costs $3000 to $5000 and I can’t afford that. Is there any treatment I can do at home, like iron supplements?

Open Question: I had 3 guinea pigs and one just died. Should I get another one?
I had 3 female guinea pigs and one died of a disease. She was only 2…We brought her to the vet last week and they gave her medicine but unfortunately her heart gave out today. We had her in a separate cage from the other pigs since last thursday and tried to put her back with them for her scent to stay in the cage but they would go after her so we left her in her other cage. I doubt the other’s know she’s gone, but we’re all upset and want to get another but the other ones are big fat bullies and pick on newcomers. Should we get another and should it be full grown or a baby?

Open Question: Does Xenadrine cause the heart to slow down?
I ask this because I have been taking Xenadrine Ultra for three weeks along with proper diet and a workout I have lost a few pounds. I have been about fifty pounds overweight from what I should be for my height range and have always had moderately high blood pressure and a resting heart rate of between 100-105. Because the side effects listed on the box speak of a rapid heart rate and an increase in blood pressure I have been keeping an eye on both and have noticed a significant drop in both my blood pressure (its actually normal) and a slower resting heart rate (between 86-76). Although my mother, a nurse, chalks it up to my losing weight, working out more and eating properly, and since she works in the med field I took her word as is and thought nothing more of it. The other day however, I went to work out on the treadmill and didn’t even get a quarter of a mile done before I stopped. I couldn’t do it. I felt incredibly lethargic. Not exhausted but as if I had no physical ability to continue. I told my mother, who gave me a once over (both blood pressure and heart rate were ‘normal). Just to be safe she took me to my doctor (more so I think to calm me down). During the exam the doctor listened to my heart and thought he heard a murmur and ordered tests but they showed that I had no murmur. I was told to scale back on the workouts. A few days passed and I decided to do light housework instead of my usual workout. I took one basket of laundry to the laundry room and when I came back up I got that lethargic feeling back. I didn’t feel up to do anything but lie in bed. I went to the doctor the next day and my blood pressure was normal and my heart rate was 72. Again, they he said that my heart rate was slow but it was normal. When I looked online it stated that lethargy can be caused by slow heart rates and I am curious if its a side effect of the drug or as my mother says, things are leveling out. I looked online and found tons of info regarding Xenadrine causing an increase in heart rate but not the other way around. I was curious to know if it could cause a decrease in heart rate or as everyone keeps telling me I am just getting healthier. If this is a side effect of the drug, could it be dangerous and therefore I should stop taking it.

Open Question: Is the reason Republicans do not support universal healthcare because they are fat?
It is a well-known fact that America is getting fatter and fatter over the years. This fattening of society results in increased health problems like diabetes, heart disease, and not being able to bathe properly.
Now, it is also a well-known fact that Republicans are against universal healthcare as well. Is this because Republicans are fatter than Democrats, and therefore know the cost of healthcare would increase?
Please, let us all be civil and answer the question honestly. Let?s build a community that is safe and enjoyable for all of us.
