Open Question: Should I date an autistic boy?
I recently became attracted to a boy in my class. After finding out he was autistic, I researched the disease. I found that people with autism have more trouble with dialect and comprehending a relationship. Also, I found they have trouble with physical contact, of ANY sort. But his case is very mild. He is so nice and very smart, and he knows so much about music: something I hold close to my heart. He is a sweet boy, but I also don’t want to traumatize him or cause distress if things don’t work out, which i’m hoping they do. What should I do?
I’m not being selfish here, I don’t want to hurt him in the long-run if things don’ot work out, this is high-school.

Open Question: 34 weeks being induced?
ok so im almost 35 weeks pregnant and when i went to the doctor today they did a stress test on the baby and everything looked ok they said but the fetel movment has slow down alot.. and they have been sending me to a cardiologist for a heart murmur i got an ekg done last week and the rythem was fine but they are waiting on the results from my echo cardiogram… they said if i have any kind of valve leakage or blocked artery they are going to induce me early.. have any of you mommies went through this?

Open Question: Overdose on my blue rescue asthma puffer?
The directions say to take 1 dose (1 puff) every 8 hours. I took give/take 20 puffs in the past 8 hours… can I OD from that? I feel jittery >.< I was prescribed the puffer for my asthma which I was diagnosed with at the same time as a lung infection w/ weezing & a heart murmur - I also have all the symptoms for TB, which they said I could have. Overdose, or... am I perfectly fine.. ohh and I'm a chain smoker =/
lol damn, guess I'll never live long enough to be legal in the states. Since I obviously have no intentions what-so-ever of quitting smoking, should I stop taking my puffer? It makes my lungs and throat feel so clear though >.

im confused are you supposed to just have faith that jesus saves you if you turn from your sins?? like im lost i dont know what to do i pray and iv stoped thinking about things that i shouldnt in other words iv turned from my sins but i still sin and it dont feel like jesus heres me im so depressed my heart murmurs and we dont hav money for docters and when i go they sya take it easy ur fine.. when they dont do much anyway i got sidtracked sorry uh any help?? my life hasnt been hapy at all and i am such a mess

Open Question: Low Cholesterol, and low Testosterone? What do you think is wrong with me?
Low Cholesterol (124), Low Testosterone (310).
My HDL Cholesterol is below normal: 34 mg/dL which puts me at risk for heart disease. Low testosterone puts me at risk for Osteoporosis.
I have normal weight, eat healthy. Genetics maybe? I am going to see a urologist for the testosterone level issue. Can anything be done for the low Cholesterol?

Open Question: Why does it hurt under my left shoulder blade when I burp?
For about five days now I have a horrible pain under my left shoulder blade when I burp. There is a dull pain under the shoulder blade all day long, but it hurts worse when I burp. I’ve always had excessive burping because I have Crohn’s disease, so the amount of burping does not concern me - it’s just the pain that does. Also, I do have a heart murmur, so part of me is worried that the pain has something to do with my heart and not with my Crohn’s. Any ideas?

Open Question: What do you think of this extract?
This extract is between Rosie and X(can’t think of a name for him.if you have any Ideas tell me pls). They are the last two people awake(they think) left in the world. In this extract they both have reached the school.Its coming from Rosie’s p.o.v. Tell me what you think how I could improve it etc.
So I walked through the familiar hallways that led to the library. . It was eerie, haunting almost ,to see the school so quiet. It seemed that it wasn?t just people who succumbed to the virus but also the school itself . The only thing that hadn?t changed was my beloved library, its silent reverie was more natural. Seating myself in a plush swivel chair and dumping my bag , I watched the dusty computer whirr to life. I was now stuck, once I found the address how exactly would I get there? I couldn?t drive, public transport was out and if I was to get to the labs on time walking just wasn?t going to cut it . I closed my eyes and tried to still my racing mind. It wouldn’t do to worry, worry was illogical . I tensed. Something somewhere moved. Very, very slowly I opened my eyes, only enough to peer through, not enough to appear awake. I let my breathing slow . Out of the corner of my eye I saw him move. It was a him, I could tell that much. He was tall and lean , broad in the shoulders tapering to the waist.

Everyone knew X, you couldn?t not know him- he was MR. popular in Oakville high not to mention heart throb of girls everywhere. He had it all -looks ,fitness and even I could tell he was charismatic.

A chess tournament? he drawled arrogantly ?You do realise that we are probably the only people awake on this planet? I was so close to walking up to him and breaking his pretty little nose. It must have shown on my face because he backed off slowly .

X is supposed to come off as really conceited and arrogant and then as Rosie get to know him he gets nicer.Also this isn’t the start it’s just hacked out from the middle of the chapter

Open Question: I’ve been having severe chest pains im only 16?
ive been having chest pains only on the area where my heart is it hurts real bad and i come to the point where that i cant breath because itll hurt much much more i have to press it so i can relieve myself a bit the first time this happened it was the middle of the night it happened twice in the same hour that time it lasted about 5 mins each time.this was a few months ago in summer.
then its been happening more often twice each day since of the 14th of this month december i 6 times 5 times while i was walking.
im only 16 im not overweight im only 5′3 and 120 lbs and i take vitimins everyday(gummy bears idk i love ‘em)i also take antioxidents the recommended doses
I dont have any disorders,asthma,diseases,not even suffering from depression(though my life does suck)im basiclly healthy i dont know why this happened so suddenly

Open Question: Cold weather and breathing problems?
Whenever the temperature drops below (about) 25 degrees, I start to have a REALLY hard time breathing. It becomes this shortness of breath and I have been getting chest pains that are not going away. The pain feels like someone squeezing my heart very hard.
Once inside it takes about an hour for my heart to stop beating oddly. I don’t know what (if there is anything) I can do.
Also, I am missing a valve in my heart, have a murmur and an irregular beat if that would make a difference. Any doctor I have seen though says it is not supposed to affect me.

Open Question: Will i still be able to join the army.?
Just got back from the doctors and they found out i have 2 valves instead of 3, the murmur i have is small but if i do weight lifting everyday for 2 hours it strains my heart and this could lead to the murmur to get bigger and i could end up having a heart attack.
The Heart surgeon said that i might have it later on in life maybe when i am 50 they are not too sure, the Heart surgeon also mentioned that the Army wants to have its recruits in full strenght and healthy with no problems at all.
My report has been sent to Pirbright and they are going to decide if i am aloud to carry on my Physical training since i passed Medical.
Do you think the Army will let me in? I am determined to join and i wont give up that easily, i know this is the right career for me and i will be upset if i cant join i really i like the idea of serving my country and i am confident that i can be good at job i have chosen to do.
I am not planning to join frontline. I am currently on selection, i got referred but i pass medical and i waiting to see if i am well enough to Physical tests.
I want to be a Close Recce Trooper in the RAC.

Open Question: Does inaccuracy in a science fiction movie or book take away from your enjoyment of it?
“The Day After Tomorrow” was a film that I had wanted to see for quite a while after it was released. Upon viewing it, I was intrigued by some of the science, but put off by what I saw as impossibilities… instantaneous freezing of the atmosphere and physical surfaces, for instance. What were the odds that fella found his son alive anyway? Suffice to say, I enjoyed the film less than I would have otherwise if i thought the science in it was sound.
On the other hand, the possibility that a disease could mutate mankind along the plot lines of the Will Smith movie “I Am Legend ” seemed very plausible to me, and I found the film all the scarier because in my mind, I could imagine it taking place in the not too distant future. Excellent film, by the way.
Maybe you don’t care for science fiction, but prefer historical or period movies or books instead. Do gross inaccuracies in the facts presented put you off to the work as a whole? A good example of a well-done historical piece in my eyes is “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee”, a bad one “The Hunt for Red October”. My opinions only!
How does a perceived inaccuracy in a film based on a given premise affect your ability to enjoy it? Can you overlook what faults you find, and take the plot and characters at face value? Or if you find one or two incongruities, do you search for more and enjoy yourself less?
