Open Question: Does this sound like OCD to you? Please I really need help.?
Well I’m always thinking of bad things like getting diseases or a family member dieing. If I’m doing something like washing my hands I will keep turning on and off the faucet until I can stop thinking whatever it is. I feel like if I don’t do this whatever disease I’m thinking about ill actually get or a loved one will die etc. so Ill keep repeating things until I’m not thinking of any bad thoughts. On top of doing that I have this thing where If I am by myself I do everything twice and If I have seen my parents that day I will do everything in threes. So basically I try to do everything in twos or threes while also trying not to think about getting a disease. Almost like If I open a door while thinking about getting cancer ill get it. I tend to see words in my head like death, heart attack, cancer etc. Basically I have this terrible fear of my mother dieing so I tend to do rituals or something bad will happen.

Open Question: Obesity and heart disease?
Hi, just have a question that’s been on my mind for awhile. So basically, my father died at the age 45 from a heart attack. It was his second one. I am 18 years old, 6′0 and about 285 pounds. Ive developed a anxiety disorder over the summer and i think about this everyday and cant stop worrying about it. I feel that no matter what i do in life, i know how its going to end for me and i cannot have peace of mind. I was a smoker for 3 years and ive gone 54 days without one. My dad was a pack a day smoker and i know that has a severe impact on heart disease. I really want to start losing weight cause most of it is body fat. I eat alot more fruits and veggies now. It feels like i already know what my fate is.

Open Question: Are these Panic Anxiety Attacks?
The umbrella school I attended is refusing to graduate me and has been for almost a year now. They have lied to my mother and I for years come to find out and because of their mistakes they will not give me a transcript or anything.
Every time in the past I feel like calling them my heart starts to hurt extremely bad and I can’t breathe and I sweat.
But now it is so bad I can’t even push the call button. In January I came up with a plan to fix all of this and finally get my life in order. It requires me calling them. This was early January, each night I feel like I can call them and feel fine, however when morning comes I keep telling myself, I need to take a shower, Need to get something to eat, calm my nerves and watch a episode of Two and a Half men. Goes on all day until I finally make my self get ready to call them. Then all those symptoms come up in full force andd I hate them. Like im scared their going to jump through the phone and kill me or something.
Thing is, when I tell myself ahh I will just call them tomorrow whats the difference it is only one more day I fell fine right then. beats anything I ever seen. though I seem to have smaller version of these symptoms when ever I talk to someone I know like a friend who is in collage and he is going on how great it is.
I was also born with a heart Murmur. And I have a extremely lot more stress in my life.
I can’t see a doctor, the only doctor here isn’t great. he lost my file, then he took it to a different town and put it in storage and won’ got get it, been saying he would for years.
My stepmother who lives hours away wont give me the information. And now it is expired and been trying to get new health insurance but there is a problem (of course there would be) so I am without it.
Are these Panic Anxiety Attacks? If so what do i do about them? It is now almost March and I am fed up with this. My life is going down the drain yet my heart has to hurt so bad and the one solution that could potential fix everything? I want to know the logic behind that.
Any ideas?

Open Question: What’s the study of the brain and the things listed called and what is the type of doctor specializes in this?
What kind of things can they do? (As in I know a cardiologist can diagnose and treat patients suffering from diseases of the heart, lungs and blood vessels; perform heart surgeries; and educate patients on preventing heart problems and living a heart-healthy lifestyle.)
Thanks Catherine but isn’t there a job where you can do both? If not which one would you say is a higher position?

Open Question: Would A Dog Kill My Cats?
I have two cats, both will be age 10 later this year, and this is true they just SLEEP and SLEEP, they must spend about 20 Hours a day sleeping and the other 4 sitting down, but anyway, get back to topic, one of my cats has a heart murmur, I’m not sure how bad it actually is, but she is scared by nearly anything so I’m guessing it’s quite high, say when the other cat (her sister) comes through the cat flap she would jump up even if she was lying down and check it isn’t a stray cat, she would sit out if the hoover was on (even if it’s cold or raining) she would get scared if the other cat was scratching on the chair she was sitting on, so would this mean it is quite serious ?? But anyway, My Mum said I might be able to get a dog if won’t kill my cat :(, so does anyone know maybe if barking could kill my kitty ?? Or even a dog chasing after her ?? Also I heard Labrador’s were good with Cats ?? Is this true
THANKS LOADS

Open Question: Cavailier King Charles Spaniel and health issues?
i have plans on getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. I have been reading up on the breed and love their personalities and their size is perfect for me. Everything about them attracts me to them and i feel like this would be a perfect breed for my family however i am very concerned with all their health issues. I was reading 50% of them die of a heart condition.
“Heart mitral valve disease (MVD) is a terminal illness which afflicts over half of all Cavalier King Charles spaniels by the age of 5 years and nearly all Cavaliers by age 10 years. It is CKCSs’ leading cause of death.”
I do not think the puppies parents were tested for this but they come with a health guarantee, although im not exactly sure what it outlines as i have yet to go see my puppy and place a deposit to hold her. Im looking for advice!

Open Question: Dizziness, Frequent Nausea, Heart Fluttering, Chest Pain.?
For the last 2 months I have been experiencing random times of nausea, this has never really happened before. For the last two weeks, I have been experiencing, along with the nausea, heart palpitations (fluttering), chest pains on my right side (not extremely painful, but just infrequent “waves” of noticeable pain or pressure), and even more recently, dizziness that lasts for a couple of hours.
I do have a preexisting heart murmur that I have had since I was born. It is not a severe problem and has never limited me with the things I could participate in.. I was a serious athlete in high school.
I just find these problems strange and was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced similar problems? Thanks!

Open Question: Republicans a leading cause of death in the US?
Leading causes of death
* Heart disease: 631,636
* Cancer: 559,888
* Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 137,119
* Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 124,583
* Accidents (unintentional injuries): 121,599
* Diabetes: 72,449
* Alzheimer’s disease: 72,432
* Influenza and Pneumonia: 56,326
* Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 45,344
** Lack of Health Insurance: 45,000 (from Harvard Study - Lack of Insurance)
* Septicemia: 34,234
Statistically speaking roughly half the population is democrat and half republican. So in fact, the Republicans are killing themselves!
http://prescriptions.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/09/17/harvard-medical-study-links-lack-of-insurance-to-45000-us-deaths-a-year/
While Republicans didn’t cause, per se, the diseases, they are doing NOTHING to treat it.
A hospital is required to treat you if you don’t have money, but if you have a long term disability, or cancer and your insurance company dumps you, you are screwed.

Open Question: I was wondering if anyone else constantly feels panic or anxiety….?
For the past two or three weeks I have this feeling i am going to die, i am 34, i smoke about a half a pack a day or less(trying to quit), drink about 4-6 beers (just to keep my panic attacks at bay), I just got fired from my job last Friday, usually I do well under stress, but when I go to sleep my heart palpitates and I wake up feeling like I cant breathe. I have no insurance now. should I go to an ER? I never had any major medical problems and I eat healthy, oh I do have a murmur. Just want some feedback
