Open Question: Is this a real known disease? and if it is it curable?
I’m writing a story and i’m giving a disease but i don’t know if it’s real/known or not.
What happens to him is this, after he does a certain amount of exercise his heart rate goes up just like it’s supposed to. Eventually his brain, thinking it has enough blood & oxygen, tells his heart to slow down the pulse. Problem is when his brain tells his heart to slow down his brain doesn’t have enough oxygen, this causes him to pass out.

Open Question: What do you think I should do?
Right, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel died two months ago. I don’t know whether to get another or try a different breed. I’d love another Cavalier, but with my first one he had so many things wrong with him, he had a heart murmur, a cough, ear infections & epilepsy. This dog was my first dog ever & I don’t want it to look as I’m replacing him with the exact breed.
He was days away from his 7th birthday. So if I did get another one it might only last the same as him.
Plus wouldn’t it be hard not to compare them. Also anytime I see one I just break down. Do you think I should go with another breed?
Thanks.
