How can I avoid heart flutters?

baby blue asked:

I have tried removing caffeine from my diet…for 6 months, but the flutters still continued. I’ve had the halter monitor, and other heart test but nothing appears to be wrong. Yet I am still not reassured that there is nothing wrong…as this dosent feel normal, to have flutters 2-10 per week…then sometimes none for 2-3 weeks. When I do have them, I constantly worry and fear that one day my heart will explode. Living with such fear of dying is draining me out, i”m sick of living this way….I guess I need to change my thoughts, but I just do know how to turn it off. Any advice?
I am 37. I did have panick attacks in my 20’s. But now it seems that my fears revolve around dying, sickness and disease…I worry all the time and these heart flutters will trigger long episodes of worring and playing terrifying scenarios in my head…always thinking that my headache is a tumor, my heart flutters are heart disease, my belly aches are cancer…etc! But the heart flutters seem to happen when I’m relaxed…just sitting watching TV, working, or on the computer.

      How old are you?

You might need to see another doctor for a second opinion regarding these palpitation.

Have you considered that these might be a form of ‘panic attack’??
