Open Question: Will a doctor prescribe weight loss meds even if you have a normal BMI?
I have a BMI of 23. I watch what I eat and exercise regularly. I don’t have a problem with gaining weight.
However, I have had my body fat percentage measured several times, and I have a whopping 34% body fat. That falls well within the range of overweight and puts me at risk for diabetes and heart disease.
So, even though I’m technically a healthy weight, I still have too much fat, which is not coming off with diet, calorie counting, and exercise.
Would a doctor prescribe meds to supplement diet and excercise?
