Open Question: Smoking Related Diseases ?
I have been smoking for 4 years now and im 18 years old. I started when i was 14.
Just recently, i have had tingling Sensations at the end of my fingers and toes. My heart rate does sometimes increase as well but im more worried about this tingling feeling i get. I don’t have high blood pressure or anything like that but i have not smoked for 24 hours and im staying off them for good.
What gould this feeling be.
Also, how long do you have to smoke before to have a heart attack. I sometimes get small chest pains which last for about 5 minuets.

Open Question: 2 months to get in shape, any advise?
alright, in to months (end of February, beginning of March) my family is going Mexico. both as part of a family vacation, and also as my mom’s honey moon.
until then I am really preparing because I want everything to be perfect. I wanna get contacts, make sure my teeth are nice and white, get my hair done.. blah blah blah. for all of those things I know what to do. But there is one big major thing i need some desperate help with. I need to get in shape. Now before you go giving silly advise, do read the details below. read them carefully and give me advise that you honetly think will help. I am not a retard and unlike most people my age I have done real research.
I am 16. I have a heart murmur that prevents me from running for long periods of time, it ends up feeling like iron bars tight around my chest. I also have damage to my dominant hand so activities that involve it being flat, like push ups, or griping, like pull ups, are out of the question.
I am NOT lazy. I have a 14 foot trampoline which I love jumping on, though in -40 weather I cannot it is way too cold. but I can land a flip and jump for a long time. play dance dance revolution on workout mode and wii sports. I do sit ups (though I am sure I am doing them to fast, I can do over 300 in half an hour).
Here are the things I have started doing:
using the exercise bike
resumed sit ups, but slower
those things I think they are called step ups where you step up then down then up then down on something.
eating breakfast (a few months ago, it helped only for a short time but I am continuing it)
stopped snacking at night, which ties into the next one since my common snack is bread
cut down on carbs (I love white bread way to much I know for a fact carbs are one of my biggest problems)
started drinking only water.
today I had a packet of instant oatmeal for breakfast, a cheese sandwich for lunch, and a chef salad for dinner. and water. this isn’t some sort of diet, its just what I eat
I DO NOT:
smoke
drink
eat things like chips, pizza, popcorn. I don;t like them and I don;t snack too much.
I will not take advise that involves money, or things I cannot to at home. I am far from rich, and do not drive. I live on a farm, so I cannot walk to any facilities. The only way to do something is through my mom and she works 6 days a week and is often to busy or tired or cannot afford your advise. please respect that.
I do not add salt to my food, I do not add sugar to cereal.
Do not give me advise on how much I should weigh, I have done my own research and know that an ideal weight for myself is 135lbs, and that is pushing it! why you may ask? because I am 5′5, have a very sturdy bone structure and a large chest. I have weighed 140lbs before. and less than 135lbs and I would have to have no muscle, and my bones would be showing. I can easily feel my rib cage and count every bone as it is.
What I want is people in maybe similar situations to give advise. preferably women who are around the same size, just because I know that men and women lose weight differently and that the more you weigh the easier it is to lose weight, so some weighing maybe 200lbs who now weighs 170lbs would lose it easier, so its not really helpful to me. I want to know WHY I am not losing weight. and yes I have been trying for a long time now, and yes, I know I need to keep eating. don’t give stupid advise please.
A few things I should mention is 1 I have been told I retain water. and 2, my hand does not go flat at all. so sit ups are impossible
sorry, not sit ups, I can do those, push ups are impossible
