Open Question: A good way for me to lose weight, medical problems involved?
I’m 13, 4′10″ and 120lbs. You should probably know some of my medical history. When i was like 3 yrs. old i got athsma. It wasn’t bad but when i started gymnastics it got pretty bad. I started gymnastics the end of kindergarden. Starting in 1st grade i was on prednisone and antibiotics for my athsma because it was never under control. I stayed on it basically for 2 years. The prednisone put a lot of weight on me. Also, the gymnastics i was doing was pretty intense, like 3 hours at a time. Finally, they took out my tonsils and adnoids and that did sh*t. More prednisone and antibiotics for meee!!! Then they figured out i had acid reflux that got fixed. So i go in for a physical and they find a heart murmur (This is 4th grade). They find out i have a rapid heartbeat enduced by exercises, in gymnastics it went up to 220bpm. They didn’t end up putting me on more meds which was good. The gymnastics i did was 4-5hours, 4x a week. In the beginning of 5th grade i quit gymnastics. At the end of 5th grade i go back to ‘easier gymnastics’ (2hours, 3x a week) Okay, now beginning of 6th grade(fall ‘08) i start slimming out from all the prednisone…FINALLY, unfortunetly that was only because i got Crohn’s Disease :(. So, i get a side effect from crohn’s called Arothemia Nordorsum and i go on a high dose of prednisone for 3 months and I gain 15lbs. I stay at that weight and begin to grow. Crohn’s goes into remission(: and still in gymnastics. Mid 7th grade (January ‘10) i quit gymnastics cuz it damaged my back and stuff and i was in a lot of pain. Within, 4 months i gain 10lbs. I slowly gain 5lbs in 2months, and then all of a sudden in august i gained 10 more lbs. I’m 4′10″ 120lbs, and i want to lose this weight. Is there any precautions i should take w/ my athsma, fast heartbeat, and crohn’s??? I can’t run longer than 15 min w/o my inhaler.
