Open Question: how can i make this more easier on my male rottie?
Earlier today, i took my female rottie to the vets. she had been having shortness of breathe, her tounge was discolored as were her gums. she had collasped over the weekend. put it shortly, she was about 8-10 yrs old, and the vets said she had fluid on her lungs, and heart disease. we could have fought it to prolong her life for another month or so. so we decided to have her put down. there was no need to make her suffer anymore than what she was. this is hard enough on me cause i am 39 wks pregnant. but my male rottie has been with her since he was a pup. and he is now 4. i know that he knows something happened to her. he started howling today (which he has never done before) i know he is gonna need extra lovings, but what else can i do for him. we do plan on getting another puppy, but not for a little while. not until the baby gets a little bigger, so maybe a year or so. so what can we do for him. i dont want anything to happen to him.
