Open Question: Jewish people, I have a question?
I was discussing this a while ago with a friend and we didn’t know the answer. I know that Jews do not consume pork or anything made from pigs. However is it ok to use anything from the pigs for a medical basis? I know that many heart surgeries may use some anatomy from a pig to replace diseased/damaged human anatomy…is that all right for a Jewish person to do that or would they have to use something synthetic if possible? I am just curious about that. Thanks for your answers!

Open Question: any nurses or docs on line, I really need some good advice about frequent heart palpitations. Thank you.?
When I was pregnant about a year and a half ago I had frequent heart palpitations during early pregnancy. They subsided after a few months. The doctor says they were due to increased blood flow from pregnancy. A week ago I began having the same symptoms. My heart is skipping beats very frequently-sometimes every two beats or so. It is about two beats missed per minute. This begins shortly after I get up and gets worse throughout the afternoon and evening. I do not feel stressed and I have ceased caffeine completely. Around six o’clock at night, they get the worst. They cause me much anxiety once they start to come frequently and throbbing headaches-a lot of pressure in my head. I don’t feel anxious AT ALL until they get worse. They last until I fall asleep. I am also having difficulty going to sleep and once asleep-difficulty getting up. I have an appt to see my doc in the morning. I did have an EKG yesterday that showed arythmia. This is beginning to upset me. I am already taking Paxil twenty mg per day for PMS symptoms so I did not think anxiety should be the cause. I do not smoke. Thank you and God bless.
