Open Question: Anyone with mitral valve prolapse at a young age?
Hello, Here’s my story my 11 year old daughter had a check up last month. Her pediatrician asked me if I was ever told she had a heart murmur. My response was no, so she referred me to a cardiologist. Well today the cardio calls to inform me of Jessicas condiction. She said she has mvp. Well not knowing much about it, I didn’t know what questions should be asked. My daughter is very healthy and active, so this news pretty much has me in shock. Dr. said she didn’t want to see her for a year. She never mentioned anything about antibotics before dental work. My mean question is what would be some of the concerns I should have, I will be calling her on Monday, so any help with questions I should ask her would be greatly appreciated. May God Bless You.
