Open Question: my dad wants 2 start org 2 pay 4 surgery for ppl who cant afford and are going to put dog dwn. how to talk vet?
I have an appt wiith our vet tomorrow to have my dogs heart murmur assessed and I am going to talk to him then but I do not know what exactly to say. My dad retired and while he does not have a lot of money he is putting money away to start an organization and wants to work through our vet to pay for surgeries for pets for ppl who cannot afford the surgery and are considering putting the pet down.
He is going to start a keep the change thing on his ice cream truck he owns and is going to also ask for donations to fund it. He will only prob be able to do 1 major surgery a month but to someone it will make a difference…Now I want to ask the vet if he will be willing to lower his price for the surgery if we are paying but I do not know how to do that…
Anyone have any ideas? We are not going to advertise what he does since he does not have a lot of money but will have the vet contact us instead when the need arises.

He is meeting with an atty on MOm I am just curious how to talk to the vet…they have dealt with us for 10+ years and he is willing to pay for his 1st surgery now while waiting I am just curious what to say…..
