Open Question: Can my recent palpitation be because of my medical marijuana use?
For the past 2 months I have been using medical marijuana (I live in California and I’m an authorized patient) about twice a day. I get my cannabis from trusted and established dispensaries and my main method of delivery is smoking because its the most convenient and cost less than buying cannabis edibles. For the past two days I have been experiencing palpitation and I’m suspecting it has something to do with inhaling cannabis smoke which is thick and resinous. So far I have only experienced palpitation but no coughing, wheezing or shortness of breath.I am well aware that inhaling smoke in any form is unhealthy and there are other alternative to delivering cannabis like vaporizers which are much more effective and healthy but also expensive. I am a generally healthy male with no history of lung or heart disease. Is it possible that the palpitation could be because of the cannabis smoke and that I’m already starting to show signs of lung damage?and should I switch to using a vaporizer as soon as possible?
