Open Question: Can stress cause a dog to have runny poop?
My dog is on a good food– Canidae All Life Stages. She’s fed at 8am and 5:30pm daily. We feed her the correct amount. (Just to clarify for the dog food martyrs out there).She’s been on this food for about a month now & she just started having runny stool yesterday. Due to the time difference, I don’t think the two are related.
In the past two weeks, my brother, my mom, and one of my friends have come to visit & stayed with us. She’s had to share her home with strangers and she never got comfortable around my mom at all. When I walk her to poop, it’s lighter in color and it comes out like cheese wiz (sorry if I ruined it for anyone). Could it be the result of the stress?
She had a vet checkup in June & was tested for heartworms (negative), given a Lyme disease vaccine, and wormed. She is on a monthly heart worm pill that is supposed to wipe out intestinal parasites as well. So I don’t think it’s parasitic either.
She just turned 1 this month, by the way. Chocolate lab/whippet mix. Sounds weird. She’s really pretty though.
