Open Question: Fathers day…poem…critique please?
I will write you a poem that goes on for miles,
I hope that you can read it after a while
Cause the words will mean nothing more then goodbye,
On father’s day I still wonder why I cry.
Maybe if you would have stayed for a couple more years,
I could find a way to hold back these tears,
But I like salt on my chips so I’ll keep crying,
Father your a slave to the system and such a fake.
I resonate these thoughts of a family in my mind,
A little white house and a father whose kind,
But reality is that families a bad disease,
Once you catch it you just can’t let it go.
I have a cold today and it wont stop raining,
My gut is feeling sick, I want to take you with me,
To the edge of a cliff that over looks the harbor,
I wanna throw you down these swim with the sea.
I picked up myself from the jaws of hell,
I was alone down there until I saw your face,
So that’s when I packed up and left,
I cannot stand the way the air you breathe tastes
I have carved your name right out of my heart,
I want to take you back to the start.
A fathers day gift this is what this is,
A fathers day gift wrapped up just for you
