Open Question: questions about community service?
My wife and I moved into a housing authority apartment in October. She has several health problems; she has severe asthma, a heart murmur, and trouble with her knees. Those problems in and of themselves do not qualify her for disability but when you combine them together she has a hard time at any job. She is pregnant so her doctor wrote a note excusing her from all community service activities for six months. I have several questions. Once the baby is born will that also excuse her from community service since she has to be there to nurse and care for her baby? As her father I can watch over him but I don’t have the proper equipment to nurse him (if you haven’t guessed by now I’m talking about breast feeding). If not, what will they make her do? I am afraid that they will send her out to dig ditches on the side of the road and she will have a very severe attack. What kind of jobs do they send you to do for community service? If she can’t do community service will the three of us be evicted? If we are evicted her parents would take her and Noah (my soon to be born son) but there isn’t enough room in their house for all three of us (they already have 3 people living under their roof as it is) and I would be homeless. Thank you.
