How much longer before Olanzapine is pulled from the market?
Note: this does not mean I’m opposed to pscy medications, it’s this one drug that concerns almost anyone who has common sense.
Olanzapine is an anti-psycotic medication used to treat the symptoms diseases like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
I have a medical book which lists all the prescription drugs in the canadian and american pharmaical market. In this book Olanzapine has well over 3 pages of side effects which includes sudden death.Lilly (the company owner of this drug) claims that sudden death is a rare side effect of this drug. What concerns critics (like myself) is that if a high percentage of people are using this drug than sudden death may actually be higher than ‘rare’
Lawsuits and legal problems have been occurring for this company no doubt. The number of people who suffer from obesity and diabetes is unthinkable. We’ve seen heart medications get pulled for similar reasons, when a high percentage of people start using these drugs, more and more deaths and disease occur as a results of bad medications. Unfortunately, unlike medications for physical diseases, drugs used to treat mental disorders take longer to be pulled from the market because there is a general belief among health care professional that the benefits of these drugs outweigh the side effects.
On a personal level I have family members who have taken this drug and have gained weight very fast within the first 6 months of taking the drug. Like so many others we are looking forward to the discontinuation of this drug and the possibility of class action lawsuits.
So, the question is how much longer before Olanzapine is pulled from the market?

Open Question: Having chest pains, other problems, what is wrong with me?
I’ve been having chest pains, like where my heart/heart area. I assume its my heart that’s hurting? I also have been having loss of circulation in limbs, like my arms get a numbing sensation, and my fingers get tingly. Its most my right arm, but sometimes my left. My toes get tingly as well when I start having chest pains. Like really bad tingly, not just a little bit. It feels like there are thousands of little needles poking. It also extend up to behind my ankle a bit.
All of this happens pretty much simultaneously. My chest will hurt, I’ll get a little light headed and my limbs will get really tingly, numb. I notice it starts get numb in main artery areas, like where the arm bends and the ankles. My heart races and there is also sometimes shortness of breath.
I usually have to walk around and take deep breaths for a few minutes, squeeze my hands in and out and wiggle my toes. It seems to help, but the chest pain seems to linger.
When I was fourteen they tested me for a heart murmur, but according to them everything was fine. I’m not overweight. I eat healthy and exercise. I’m a pretty active person all around =/.
Thanks for any info/insight,
Asher Rush
Its not a heart attack. I’m only 18. Not possible
