Open Question: Heart Problem (again, a little different)?
My cousin (not too closely related) had a congenital heart problem when he was younger and it got treated at age 8 or something like that. Now, my pediatrician tells me that I have a heart murmur, and it sounded like he was a little frightened and referred me to a pediatric cardiologist. I have a lot of the symptoms described on the web (excessive tiredness during activity, etc.) and I just want to know in advance if I might have a heart problem. I’m healthy, 14 years old, but I was born prematurely. Could this be related to my cousin’s congenital heart defect, and could I possibly have one? Thanks.

Open Question: health and social care, struggling!!!! ?
sarah’s mother died of heart disease in her early 50s. investigations showed that there was a a family history on her mothers side of high blood cholesterol. sarahs father bill (66 yrs old), has been a life time cigarette smoker and this has resulted in heart disease and respiratory problems. he has lived in a small house about 10 miles away since sarah was born. this is a deprived area close to an industrial estate. unemployment is high with crime and vandalism common.
