Open Question: High School Sports Physical Question
I wanted to run cross country for my school this year, and to do so, I needed my physicist to check off “cleared without restriction”. She said I should get tested for a heart murmur, and therefore checked of “cleared with recommendation”. I asked the coach and said I could only run if I was cleared without restriction.
I can join after I get checked for the murmur, but it’s too expensive and I won’t be able to have it covered until after 2 months, which is too late into the season for me to participate. I asked my mom if she could ask my physicist about it, but she wouldn’t ask and said my doctor wouldn’t be able to do to legal reasons. I really wanted to run, and I’m desperate. What should I do?
