Open Question: Should meat be banned from public places i.e schools, restaurants etc?
I say yes!
Me and all my friends are vegans are pushing for it!
Meat is not essential. It is scientifically proven to increase the risk of certain cancers, heart disease, and gallstones. Animals in factory farms are given antibiotics, which leads to antibiotic resistance in humans and “superbugs”. They are also given growth hormones and some chickens grow so quickly they cannot stand. Meat contains saturated fat, which clogs human arteries. A plant-based diet is essential to guard against disease and meat should be avoided at all costs. Animals in factory farms lead intolerable lives, with the end to their suffering only obtainable through death.
Plus meats like ham, bologna and hot dogs have been PROVEN to cause cancer; these should be banned entirely.

Open Question: How common are congenital heart disorders in cats?
The first kitten we got (as a family) was a little calico named Goosebumps. I searched far and wide through shelters for a calico kitten. I got her for my daughter’s 5th birthday. Of course, I took her to the vet immediately. They said it sounded like she had a heart murmur but not to worry because “Cats almost always grow out of it.” Well 9 months later–on Thanksgiving Day, no less–I had to take her to the vet. They said she was in congestive heart failure
They said they could probably keep her alive another 2-3 weeks, but that her heart couldn’t support her body. Obviously, I just had them put her out of her misery.
So I’m wondering, how common is this? Was there anything I could have done differently?
