Open Question: After reading these Surah in the Quran how could you still befriend a disbeliever?
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Al-Maeda
O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. (51) And thou seest those in whose heart is a disease race toward them, saying: We fear lest a change of fortune befall us. And it may happen that Allah will vouchsafe (unto thee) the victory, or a commandment from His presence. Then will they repent them of their secret thoughts. (52) Then will the believers say (unto the people of the Scripture): Are these they who swore by Allah their most binding oaths that they were surely with you? Their works have failed, and they have become the losers. (53) O ye who believe! Whoso of you becometh a renegade from his religion, (know that in his stead) Allah will bring a people whom He loveth and who love Him, humble toward believers, stern toward disbelievers, striving in the way of Allah, and fearing not the blame of any blamer. Such is the grace of Allah which He giveth unto whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing. (54)
Al-E-Imran
O ye who believe! Take not for intimates others than your own folk, who would spare no pains to ruin you; they love to hamper you. Hatred is revealed by (the utterance of) their mouths, but that which their breasts hide is greater. We have made plain for you the revelations if ye will understand. (118) Lo! ye are those who love them though they love you not, and ye believe in all the Scripture. When they fall in with you they say: We believe; but when they go apart they bite their finger-tips at you, for rage. Say: Perish in your rage! Lo! Allah is Aware of what is hidden in (your) breasts. (119) If a lucky chance befall you, it is evil unto them, and if disaster strike you they rejoice thereat. But if ye persevere and keep from evil their guile will never harm you. Lo! Allah is Surrounding what they do. (120)
An-Nisa
O ye who believe! Choose not disbelievers for (your) friends in place of believers. Would ye give Allah a clear warrant against you? (144) Lo! the hypocrites (will be) in the lowest deep of the Fire, and thou wilt find no helper for them; (145) Save those who repent and amend and hold fast to Allah and make their religion pure for Allah (only). Those are with the believers. And Allah will bestow on the believers an immense reward. (146) What concern hath Allah for your punishment if ye are thankful (for His mercies) and believe (in Him)? Allah was ever Responsive, Aware. (147) Allah loveth not the utterance of harsh speech save by one who hath been wronged. Allah is ever Hearer, Knower. (148)
Al-Tawba
O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers. (23)

…did you not understand?
answering-christianity.com’s maker and publisher has admitted to making up a false email saying a Brother threatened him. He admitted so on his own website at this link http://www.answering-christianity.com/apology_to_brother_jalal_abualrub.htm
So I choose not to read ANYTHING from his site and neither should you because a person of this caliber should not be trusted. Allah knows best.
Patron - a person who SUPPORTS something or someone.
Support - a person or thing that gives aid or assistance.
In conclusion a PATRON of somebody else is one who supports the other. This can mean spiritually, verbally, religiously, emotionally(things FRIENDS or in your words patrons would do) and in any other way that you can support somebody. As you see you think your refuting me by saying that the Quran means patron instead of friend. But where you lack substance is the fact that it doesn’t state what KIND of patron it means. THEREFORE I must assume it means being a PATRON OF ANYKIND to christians or jews is HARAM!!! Refute that.

After reading that how can you tell me it’s alright to befriend them? HOW? Let me guess that was wrongfully translated too. Come on, man give it up. Stop trying to twist the words of Allah so you can be buddy buddy with kafirs because you live in a kafir country, and this is easier for you. You just don’t want to believe that your doing wrong when your doing this. Whatever, I’m done debating with you. May ALLAH guide us both.
Isis… the one who uses a drawn figure to represent herself and obviously doesn’t wear hijab…I am not attacking Muslims, I’m Muslim and I LOVE REAL Muslims. But I hate hypocrites and innovators who try to say certain parts of the Quran only applied for a certain time like you have. This is haraam. “All i KNOW that muslims were not allowed to take them as friends not because they christians, jews or desbeliever but because there was a persecution going on and these people might have harmed them at that time.” If this is what you KNOW give your proof or accept that you said that you know something that you really don’t which is also haraam. Allah knows best and may He guide us all.
