Open Question: what were your symptoms for mitral valve prolapse?
I have had a heart murmur since i was born, and am 20 years old now. Was given an echo-cardiogram last week and diagnosed with MVP/ regurgitation.
I do not know the severity yet. The hospital called me to say that i had MVP and i needed to come back in to have a consultation with the cardiologist.
Ive always (my whole life) had the “symptoms” listed below, but are they caused by MVP? Its hard to know the difference when this is how ive always felt.
extreme fatigue
wake up tired no matter how long i sleep
slight shortness of breathing that never goes away
chest discomfort halfway between left breast and collarbone
fast heartbeat after receiving novocaine at the dentist
very thin, can not gain weight
can “feel” my heart skip beats
