Open Question: What causes my convulsions?
I am 22 years old and was diagnosed last summer with POTS or post orthostatic tachycardia syndrome which means that my heart beat is very rapid when im standing up because my blood pressure is unbalanced when im standing which causes me to black out, have headaches, chest aches and pass out. My cardiologist put me on medication to prevent the attacks but weened me off it and tells me to watch and limit my caffine intake but sometimes I still have the episodes as well as convulsions which make me completely exhausted and of course scared. What would cause the convulsions? I have had numerous ekgs, a heart monitor, a bubble test, tilt test and an EPS study. I also have a small whole in my heart as well as a heart murmur.
