Open Question: I need some arguments for the case that humans are naturally omnivorous?
So some vegetarians here constantly argue humans are meant to be herbivores rather than omnivores and support their arguments by citing that humans don’t have sharp claws or razor-sharp canines, can get heart disease from the cholesterol of the meat, cook the meat, or don’t salivate to the site of a carcass, etc.
Now I want a chance to see the arguments that support the case that humans are naturally omnivorous. So I know that humans have enzymes to help digest meat and their ancestors have been able to thrive for a long time on cooked meat, so maybe they are really meant for meat that is cooked. I guess that the reason why humans don’t salivate to the sight of an animal carcass would be that they are to kill live prey and eat it fresh, rather than being scavengers. I have found some contradicting arguments about the length of the human intestines as to whether they mean humans should be herbivores or omnivores.
So, again. I want to some evidence that humans are naturally omnivores, that their natural diet can include meat. I don’t want to see any more arguments that humans are supposed to be herbivores, I need evidence for humans being natural omnivores.
