Open Question: How do I keep my cat from attacking my other cats?
I have an elderly cat of 12 years. She has a heart murmur, so I try to keep her from getting into situations that may get her overly excited. About 2 years ago I got another cat. He came into the house and bonded with my other cats well, but now he’s starting to attack my 12 year old cat. We got him neutered, but it didn’t seem to help any. He’s even made my other male cat become slightly violent. I’ve used spray bottles, put him in his cage when he got caught, but nothing seems to work.
He’s not extremely violent, like biting her in her face and neck, and he’s not mounting her. But, I know he’s being a little too rough for just “kitty play.”
