Open Question: I’m 17 and have an abnormal ekg..?
I got my results of the ekg and the doctor said that it is abnormal. She said that she was referring me to a pediatric cardiologist for a echocardiogram and to look at it because it could be normal for me and my age. Is there a big chance there is something wrong?
I’m worried because heart disease runs on my dad’s side of the family, and he died of a massive heart attack at 45 and he had a prolapse heart valve but i’m not sure if that would have anything to do with his heart attack. The doctor said that the ‘J’ waves or something weren’t normal and she said that can be associated with a heart problem or heart disease so I’m really worrying.
Also, does anyone know what three ’spots’ [not sure what they’re called] could be on my left lung? I’ve never had pneumonia and I don’t smoke.
