Open Question: Why is school so important?
I don’t understand; God doesn’t care if we receive high marks or good grades in school. He doesn’t care if we spend hours studying and receive admission to the best colleges out there. Do you think He cares if we receive a Ph. D. from Harvard? NO! My life has been hell (that may be understating it) because of school. And i’m not like one of those idiotic teens that hate school because they’re lazy or something. I hate school because after 10 straight years of insults, racial discrimination, racism, embarrassment (I’m very short, I look like I’m afflicted with a grotesque skin disease, and braces, and I’m Asian), studying all night, eating one meal a day every day, and having teachers constantly berate me, and all of the pressure to become someone, I’M SICK AND TIRED OF IT!!! There has to be something more to life! My so called “friends” think it’s funny to make fun of me on a daily basis. I’ve never even been on a single date; the school forgot to put me in the yearbook three times, which I paid a lot of money to receive. Now my family is constantly threatening me (literally threatening) to go to a good college, and right now it’s summer vacation. My parents have made me study for the SATs all summer. WHY DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS!?!?! I have devoted my life to God and Jesus Christ, I have always remained faithful. I confessed my sins, I opened my heart, and it feels like God is spitting in my face. Why? Why is my life like this??
