Open Question: can someone give me advice on my medication please?
hi i am a 20 year old female. i have ADD, and anxiety since i was about the age of 15. i’ve never done anything about it. Now that i am older and in college it is a little more difficult for me. I am very new to all of this. I seen my psychiatrist last week. He perscribed me, 10 mg adderall i dont believe its XR or whatever it is..its a blue tablet. he told me to take it three times a day, which i do not. i’m about 5ft tall and weigh 95 lbs so i thought that was rather a little too much for me. Im on 60 mg inderal, pink and blue capsule because i have a heart murmur that i take once a day in the morning. and for my anxiety i take 0.5 mg klonopin twice a day. I honestly think this is way too much medication especially the adderall. Im well aware of the klonopins and the effects. Im new to the adderall. Just recently i took 20 mg, 10 in the morning and then 10 in the afternoon, and the next day i had really bad chest pains and couldn’t breathe. i ended up in the emergency room. so today i tried cutting back to 15 mg. i took 5 when i woke up and then 10 two hours before my class started,and while i was in class i experienced the chest pains again. Now im in college and i have night classes that run 4-9:30 three times a week. My questions are…why am i getting these chest pains..should i cut down to 5 mg once in the morning and then maybe before my class starts? also i’ve experienced the insomnia part and i really cant afford to loose sleep. can someone please tell me what to do on when i should take the adderall and how much so i dont have chest pains during class and i will be able to concentrate and sleep at night..thanks alot.
