Open Question: Is this deed good or evil?
Let’s start with no motive.
I see a bum and decide to buy him a double bacon cheeseburger, large fries, and a coke….plus I slip him $20.
Is this a good act or an evil act?
Try to answer before reading this next part.
Here’s the thing, it’s all about perspective:
1) Giving the bum food and drink eases his hunger pangs and quenches his thirst. Maybe it makes him feel good, plus he’s got twenty to get him some more food. I’m sure a bum could stretch a twenty.
2) Giving the bum that type of food could contribute to heart disease and diabetes, which would shorten his life. Giving him the twenty gives him a ticket to a fix…also potentially shortening his life.
Do I want to help him, or kill him?
Who is giving me a gold star on this one, God or Satan?
Let’s say the meal was a gift, and the twenty was hoping he would off himself by overdose on something (though, he’d probably need more money to OD). Bums litter our streets and beg. It doesn’t look good. This is my friendly way of trying to kill one.

Resolved Question: Heart rush & general discomfort?
K…. I get these pulse rushes. Make me dizzy, spooked and extremely tired after. This week, got a couple while working out, very scary. Heart seemed to do somersaults, then just sped up and stayed at high activity for hours. Pulse 2 h after training was 90+, my normal pulse is 50-55. I’m 31 and otherwise fit and healthy. Haven’t worked out since May due to several circumstances and started again 4 weeks ago.
So, I went to see the doctor (IF YOU ADVICE ME TO GO SEE THE DOCTOR AFTER READING THE Q, YOU’RE A MORON AND I’LL REPORT YA!!!). EKG was normal, all tests were normal, have a sinus arythmia that’s basically normal. Due back in 2 weeks, will also get a gadget for 24 h recording of heart activity.
I reckon this will turn out to be a pretty harmless condition, but it’s really, really uncomfortable. Have you had the same experience? How did you solve it? Tricks & shortcuts? Did it eventually go away?
