Open Question: My 5 month old kitten is twitching in her face and tongue, help?
My kitten is about 5 month old, and a few minutes ago she started switching in her face and around her mouth, and sticking her tongue out as far as it could go in all directions. It sort of looked like she was going to throw up, but her tongue was going to all sides.
At first I thought she might have something irritating her teeth or in the back of her throat, but I took a look and didn’t see anything (I’m very used to handling my cats, I took a GOOD look). She finally calmed down and is now sleeping, but I’m worried it might be a neurological tick or something? She’s a white, odd-eyed cat, and she is completely deaf. Also, she has a slight heart murmur.
Perhaps I’m most concerned right now because I accidentally kicked her really hard in the head a half hour ago (she got tangle in my feet when I was walking).
Does this sound like some kind of neurological tick, or possible injury, or you think she just had something stuck in her gums that I couldn’t see? Any advice would be appreciated.
I’m concerned about my cat’s well being, why is that funny? She obviously isn’t the healthiest cat to begin with (we adopted her knowing she was special needs), so I want to make sure I don’t miss anything important.
