Open Question: My cat has kidney disease - is my vet being reasonable pricewise?

Hi, I recently switched vets and called beforehand asking how much an office visit was along with a renal panel - the receptionist said office visit was 56 and renal panel bloodwork was $50.00. Anyway, I brought my kitty in and by the time I walked out the bill was $282.00!!!! The bloodwork was $136 and she did another test, protein/creatinine ratio which was $90.
We didn’t do his blood pressure because he was so upset over the shot so she suggested I come back. When I asked her how much taking his blood pressure would be, over the phone she hesitated and then said $42.00!!!! Is that reasonable?
Also she said he has a heart murmur now and an ultrasound would cost $315.00 and he may need medication which is very pricey.
Does this sound like too much, especially with the $42.00 fee for checking my cat’s blood pressure???
