Open Question: My dog has a heart murmur with bloated belly?
Hi, I have a dog, (Chiwawa) had him for over 8 years, he has been coughing hard so we took him to the vet, they took xrays and determined it was a heart murmur and also said his heart was very big. She told us he may have heart disease, so she gave us laxis or something like that to get rid of the fluid he was developing in his stomach.
Now after 2 weeks , he is bloated while the rest of his body is skinny. He doesnt run , bark, or groul anymore at all, seems like he is depressed or just too weak to do anything.
I am very sad about this, I am very very close to him and I feel sad when I just look at him.
If he is going to die soon, what are the stages that usually occur in dog with heart murmur and heart diseases, I just want to prepare my self at least I would know how far long is he.
