Open Question: Personal Fitness - Weight Control HELP?

We just bought a puppy. Hes a Bullmastiff. Hes 6 weeks old and we took him to the vet for his check ups and shoots. The vet told us he has a slight heart murmur and he has a 1 out of 6. He said most pups grow out of this. Is that true? Does anyone know any other important information about this that you can tell me?
