Resolved Question: chest flutters at various times, two palpatations in the past year. feedback is appreciated!?
I am just over 40 and have been very active up to about two years ago of which my first episode was last year. Never really been on a diet, eat foods of all kinds. Stocky, 195lbs/5′9″. Dad was overweight and had heart disease, diabeties, passed away in his mid 50’s. This is always on my mind when things feel out of sorts. Checked out last year, EKG, Ultrasound, 24 hour monitor, bloodwork , etc…
all came back normal.
Almost a year later, last month sitting at home having a snack, had my second palpatation. Lasted for about 8 seconds but freaked me out. Went to the ER, same stuff, EKG, 30 day monitor, bloodwork, CT scoring came back “0″, chest x-ray normal, still having the fluttering. Dr put me on metoprolol and daily 80mg aspirin. still having the fluttering, more evident laying on left side at night. Fluttering every other day or so, comes with chest pressure, no real pain, heart just beats so hard sometimes. Started taking Omeprazole today.
