Open Question: Should I go to the doctor or am I in normal health?

February 4th, 2010 | by admin | Resolved Question: any nurses or docs on line, I really need some good advice about frequent heart palpitations. Thank you.?
When I was pregnant about a year and a half ago I had frequent heart palpitations during early pregnancy. They subsided after a few months. The doctor says they were due to increased blood flow from pregnancy. A week ago I began having the same symptoms. My heart is skipping beats very frequently-sometimes every two beats or so. It is about two beats missed per minute. This begins shortly after I get up and gets worse throughout the afternoon and evening. I do not feel stressed and I have ceased caffeine completely. Around six o’clock at night, they get the worst. They cause me much anxiety once they start to come frequently and throbbing headaches-a lot of pressure in my head. I don’t feel anxious AT ALL until they get worse. They last until I fall asleep. I am also having difficulty going to sleep and once asleep-difficulty getting up. I have an appt to see my doc in the morning. I did have an EKG yesterday that showed arythmia. This is beginning to upset me. I am already taking Paxil twenty mg per day for PMS symptoms so I did not think anxiety should be the cause. I do not smoke. Thank you and God bless.

Open Question: difficulty catching breathe and heart palpitations what could it be?
For about 6 months ive had this problem where i cant get a full breath.
Obviously im breathing but i always feel like im not getting a full satisfying breath and its horrible!
Also i get little heart palpitations my heart will go really fast and then feel like it stops for a split second.
Ive been to the doctor on 4 occasions now and he says its not something to worry about, and that its probably caused by stress. but i am worried i hate not being able to catch a proper breath (and if i want to i have to force myself to yawn then i can get a big breath) the palpitations also freak me out.
My doctor did say he could hear a very slight heart murmur but again was not concerned as he said slight heart murmurs are common.
What could this be?
