Open Question: The beginning of my short story/novella ?

January 6th, 2009 | by admin | Open Question: Does anyone know someone who’s dog/cat had heartworm problems?
I was curious about how bad the Heartworm disease really is (in pets).
I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and for the good chunk of it, I don’t recall getting them all kinds of vaccines or giving them heart worm pills and heart worm blood tests and teeth cleanings, etc., etc., etc. They all spent time outdoors and lived active, healthy long lives.
I can’t help but feel that the whole Heartworm thing is overblown. Am I wrong???
