Open Question: This book..?

I read this book long ago. It was kind of mideaval(sp?) romance. The main characters were a man called Francis McLean, and a young woman called Anne. The story was something that Francis kidnapped Anne, to avenge her father. But he took her to his castle, and there she was not treated as prisoner but as a guest. Soon they fell in love, and Anne found she wasn’t the daughter of the guy who posed as her father anyway.
i have forgotten the name of the book, and i never paid attention to its author anyway. I remember the name starting with heart, but when I search all i get is numerous books on heart diseases! Does anyone know?
ok long ago would not mean 1970’s. =D
it was in 2000 i think. it was something like heart ache or something.
