Open Question: US army medical waiver ?
I am trying to join the army reserve and when i went to meps the doctor told me that i had a heart murmur I was then sent to see a Specialist to get a endocardiogram it showed that there was nothing wrong with my heart and i am very healthy and the doctor said that it should be no problem getting a medical waiver from the army. One of my recruiter’s co worker’s told me that he has one and has been in the army for 8 years w and his murmur is way worst than mine from what he tells me. The people at meps told me that it should take any where from 7 to 10 days to get a waiver from the army.So far its been a week. I would like to know has anyone been had this happen to them when trying to enlist with a heart murmur ?
