Open Question: What are my chances of having heart disease?

February 7th, 2010 | by admin | Open Question: I’m american I filed for a fiance visa, my fiance is from UK he has a heart prob. can he still get visa?
My fiance went for his physical he was told he had a heart murmur and a valve that in the future would need replacing. My insurance said it would cover preexisting conditions only if he gets a certificate of credable covarge, he can’t cuz the government pays their health bills they have no insurance. We are afraid immigration will not let him in our country due to him needing future operation.

Open Question: What are my chances of having heart disease?
or am I suffering from either anxiety or panic attacks? In the last 3 months, I’ve had two trips to the ER for episodes of high blood pressure (180/130) and heart rates in the 120’s to 130’s. In between the first ER visit, on the recommendation of my family physician, I had a chest x-ray, thyroid and electrolyte blood tests and an EKG in his office. I followed that up with an Echo cardiogram and a Holter Monitor evaluation. All those results came back normal. On the Holter, my heart rate was as low as 39 BPM with an average of 68. No irregularities. This week, I found myself in the ER again with a blood pressure of 180/120 which came on while sitting at home on the computer. Both trips to the ER and I walked away with a diagnosis of tachycardia. All my blood work was good so there was no evidence of heart attack. I met with a cardiologist and he doesn’t think I’m dealing with any kind of blockage so we tested for Pheocromocytoma, which I also expect to be negative. Can I really cause myself these symptoms or could I still have some form of heart disease? Today, I had a few bouts of lightheadedness, a little sweating and some pain/tingling in my left arm. I’m supposed to meet with the cardiologist next week to go over the results of the pheocromocytoma and decide how to proceed from there. How about comments from those of you who have experienced these symptoms or those of you who treat people with similar situations. Thanks.
I’m 45, exercised 5x/wk before all of this started and not overweight at 5′ 11″ and 175 lbs.
My bloodpressure was 180/13o on my way to the ER. When I left 2 1/2 hrs later, it was @132/72.
