Open Question: What do I do about my breastfed 8 month old?
My daughter has been breastfed since she was born, and still is. She never took formula, not even bottles. She only wants breastmilk straight from the breast.
So when my baby turned 6 months old, she was 15 pounds. Now she is 8 months tomorrow and she’s only still 15 1/2 pounds!!
My daughter has a heart murmur, so I took her to the cardiologist because of her slow weight gain, but she said her heart is fine.
She thinks that I don’t have enough breastmilk anymore (i pump and only get about 2 oz or 3 from each breast)
And since I’m feeding her solids now, I only breastfeed her about 4 times in 24 hours. She said that formula and breastmilk have lots of calories and that’s what keeps babys growing.
She said that she thinks my daugher is not getting enough milk, she says she needs more than 24 oz a day. Well, I think she’s only getting like 8 oz a day of breastmilk.
The thing is, I don’t have enough anymore. I am frustrated since she WON’T TAKE FORMULA. I am desperate, because the cardio doc wants her to gain weight in 1 month, and my daugther just won’t drink formula. Not even if she hasn’t ate in hours, she still won’t take it.
HELP??
She doesn’t like gerbers, or cereal either.
The only things she eats are home-made food and breastmilk.
lol, my daughter does drink from the sippy cup BUT ONLY WATER OR JUICE.. the thing is she doesnt like the taste of formula..
yea well since she was eating solids (not too much though), she got less hungrier for breastmilk .
but the cardio doc told me to only feed her a solid once a day, and feed her formula (or breastmilk IF I have enough) because she said that solids don’t have as much calories as milk.
She does wet her diapers about 6 times a day, and poops once a day.

Open Question: What are the chances of one parent having congenital heart disease of passing it onto their children?
Hello,
My husband was born with congenital heart disease (tetralogy of fallot), he is however an otherwise healthy 25 year old with no history of heart disease in his family background. I am a fit and healthy 24 year old with no background of heart disease in my family. I would like to know what are the statistics/chances that our children would end up being born with congenital heart disease?
