Open Question: what does catheter based mean?
im looking to becoming a doctor and i was researching an interventional cardiogolist and i was looking at what it ment and it said it “Focuses on catheter-based treatment of heart disease including angioplasty, valvuloplasty, and coronary thrombectomy.”
what exactly does that mean… thank you for helping

Open Question: Does this sound like a heart murmur?
I think a nurse told me a few years ago that I have a slight heart murmur, but I don’t really remember.
I’ll constantly feel my heart randomly beat harder and I’ll get extra energy(like a feeling of excitement) out of no where for a few seconds.
This happens quite constantly, and I’ll sometimes feel a pain where my heart it or at the veins in my wrist, to the point where I have to stop and hold that spot for a few seconds. My mom said it was most likely because of the fish oil pills I use to take everyday.
I’ll ask a doctor next time I see one, but based on this does it sound like a basic heart murmur?
