Open Question: What kind of dog to get for elderly lady?
My Grandma has a Miniature pinscher, mini, that it sadly seems will be passing away more sooner than later Mini is 11 Years old has a heart murmur, bad arthritis, liver problems, and possibly cancer. My grandma is a 77 year old widow who lives in a medium sized (approx 2,500 sq ft) ranch, with a 1/4 acer lot. When her dog, Mini, does pass away she wants another dog as a companion, and to help keep her safe. As i said my grandma is 77 years old so she is looking for a dog that is relatively low maintenance, that she doesn’t have to exercise a lot, and one that is easily trainable. Are there any specific breeds that will fit this criteria?
