Open Question: what kind of heart problem do i have?
hell im sixteen and am very scared that i have a serious problem with my heart. At the age of fourteen i was living in florida with my mom and brother playing baseball football and living a great full life. Until i started feeling out of breath and very anxious with a heavy feeling in my left arm at times i didnt think much of this until one day after suffering chest pains in the middle part of my chest i convinced my mom to take me to the E.R.. the doctor said i had a mitral valve murmur and a sinus arrythmia but he thought both were well under control so my mom flew me up to a cardioligst in kentucky(we have family there) after alot of tests he decided that i was ok without treatment. But five months ago i started having real problems my chest hurts constintly both arms are heavy when i feel my pulse my heart is fast at times and sometimes it stops beating for a second or two like a pause then kicks back up headaches tired jaw hurts, and i had to quit everything im home schooled because i feel so poor we have no insurance now were broke and live with my grandparents in ky no one will take me to a doctor because they believe im ok and just feeling weird for basicaly no reason (in other words they have no money and are just praying im fine and making this up so i don have to go to school) im scarred now what do i do?? what could be the problem? i loved my life now i dont even leave the house because it hurts all the time im so scared please help…. does anyone kno what my heart problem is doing?? and how i should make them believe its dangerous and take me to the hospital i feel awful

Open Question: I need advice on an ethics essay. How would you decide as a utilitarian?
Suppose…
Congress has appropriated $100 million dollars to put toward medical research. This money can go for any medical research projects cancer, AIDS, neurology, Alzheimer’s, stem cell research, heart disease, mental health, etc.
In allocating resources to such research projects, Congress often uses a utilitarian calculus to decide. Analyze this very difficult decision Congress has to make from the perspective of a utilitarian. You can allocate $10m to 10 different research programs, or $100m to just one.
I am thinking that as a utilitarian they would research which medical condition has the highest mortality and also has the highest number of people suffering or dying from it and then they would use most of the money to go to that one illness’s research because that would ultimately help the most amount of people with happiness.
Then I am torn. and part of me thinks that they would give to 10 different research cases because that would end up affecting the most people and giving the most people pleasure over pain
Give me some advice on which way to go with this paper.
Thanks:)
