Open Question: PLEASE HELP! My father in- law is sick in the hospital and we dont know why!?
This morning my father in-law went to stand up and got extremely dizzy, had a very sharp pain in the back of his head that ran up to his forhead, was very disoriented, slowed speech, and numbness on one side of his mouth and tounge. The doctors are automatically assuming a stroke. But we still do not fully believe that may be the case. His blood pressure was rather high and after receiving some medication for his HBP, he began vomitting. We were also told he has muscle particles in his blood stream which can cause kidney damage and that one out of three proteins we have in our hearts was abnormal in his. Recent history on my father in-law: In the past week, he injured his finger (a nail went through it-almost to the bone) and it seemed to have gotten a bit infected, he then hit a deer in his truck and had to move it off the road (with his bare hands-including the infected finger), he also recently started excersising. So Im thinking, what if this is Lyme’s Disease? or what if this is Bell’s Palsy? With Bell’s Palsy disorder, you usually loose partial feeling in your face, get dizzy, may have moderate/severe headaches, disoriented, etc. Bell’s Palsy can also be caused by a Bacterial Infection (his bad finger). Could the HBP be from the infection or from Lyme disease? And the muscle particles could have come from his new desire to excersise which he doesnt normally do. So as you can see Im really trying to put this puzzle together. For some reason I feel in my gut that these doctors are just trying to solve this very quickly and be done with it. Its devastating! Anyone with suggestions or have been through any of these horrible illnesses/diseases, your information is extremely appreciated! And THANK YOU in advance!
